Wait, what about the buyins for this? What will our original $50 take care of, and will we have to pay per-tourney as well? Sorry if i missed this earlier, but I think repeating it wouldn't be bad.

original $50 takes care of prize pool and buyins, however, you will still need to pay your own buyins for the matches, as to prevent no shows, the buyins are being held until the end of the competition....

for example:
You pay $50 up front
In the tournament, you pay $25 in entry fees in the prelims, and $10 in the round of 20
You win one prelim, getting you $40

At the end, you would be paid ($40+$25+$10) - $40 (paid out immediately) = $35
which covers your buyins.

High buyin example
You pay $250 up front
In the tournament, you miss your 3rd match, meaning you paid $20 in entry fees in the prelims, and $10 in the round of 20
You win a prelim, getting you $75

At the end, you would be paid ($75+$25+$10) - $40 = $70, which covers the buyins and the difference in what you got from the prelim, and the real payout.

So at the end of it all we will get our $50 initial buy-in back, correct? Its like a deposit.(?)

you get the portion you spent on buyins back... I suppose you could think of at least $25 of it as a deposit, since it is to protect against no shows.

Hey, I just looked at the schedule. There must be some kind of mistake. I am playing Fubar the Sperm ALL 5 TIMES! I don't know anything about his play, but I sure hope he sucks. Unless the schedule gets changed to avoid this kind of grouping, then I wish Fubar all the best.

i see there are alternates for the low buy-in so if any of them want to take my spot i will drop out
im leaving for college this week and things are going to be hectic and im not really sure what ill be doing and dont want to be a no-show

Alright... couple things. First, Willenation has dropped out of the competition, and EvilGN will be taking his place. You will notice on the website that he has taken Willenation's schedule, so nobody else has been altered. Second, dylanburr, I have placed you on my low buyin alternates list. And third, I strongly urge you to go check out the site and such, I will be sending out PMs with payment instructions and website link. If you have already paid/sent bob an email, disregard the PM, I dont know who has and hasnt paid yet. Although I suppose the third is pointless because the target audience is the people who dont look at this thread, which makes my last statement an extention of the uselessness of the previous statement... it's a damn loop... anyways... This is sweet and I'd love to be a part of the high buyin, but scheduling is too much of an issue... unless whoevers scheduling can be flexible with that... but that would complicate things I'm sure...

You are all VERY lucky. I was informed a few days ago that I got in!, but now I have to bail. We have vacations in Sept. and 2 - 4 day mini vacations in October. I would miss at least 3 if not 4 of the matches, so I am out.
