I am talking to bob about that. If FCP sponsors the event, they will collect the buyin. I'll post more definitive answers about that when I get more information.

There is a possibility the first week of the tournament may be spread to two weeks. I just won a trip on September 15th-17th, which would have me leaving the 14th, missing the thursday and friday match. So, there is a chance that the 14th and the 15th matches will be moved to the 7th and 8th (same day, just a week earlier).

Kinda weird how I am playing with msals11 and tskillz187 3 times, yet not in the same group as checky or royal tour. I thought we should play each other at least once?

You will need java to run it, simply double click it and a text file containing the schedule should appear.

Not that it matters but I dont like the fact that we dont get to see everyone at least once. I dont mind seeing people 3-4 times but if I make it to the top 20 I dont want to have to play against someone I've never had a chance to play against, especially if I have the fortune to get heads up or 4 handed, it's really not to my advantage to play against someone I've only watched play. I'm sure it's possible to even it out a little. But if not...whatever.

Alright... couple things.

Just talked to Bob, and he confirmed that FCP will be collecting the buyins, exact details will be posted by Sunday. The schedules do have a couple issues, as blazer pointed out. Those will be fixed and finalized schedules will be posted on Sunday. Reimbursement of buyins will take place at the end of the competiton. Also, all spots are filled, I just need to update the list when I get home.

August is an unmitigated disaster for me although if it has to be August, i will suck it up.

One thing that i can't compromise on is this...FRIDAYS are a no go for me.

I can play the matches during the week, weekends are also bad for me.

If we can play from Monday to thursday..I have no problems.

I got one problem with the payout structure.

I prefer TOP HEAVY payouts.

There will be 8k in the prize pool.

I say that if you make the quarterfinals..you get your money back...then go on from there.

That 2k 1st prize is a little chinsy.

Scheduled start date is September 7th (thursday), week one is actually spread over two weeks (due to me being unavailable the 14th and 15th.

As far as the payouts not being top heavy, please note the winner gets $2000 for winning the final series alone, not to mention $400 for winning the semifinal, $250 for the quarterfinal win (or $125 for not winning), $100 for advancing out of the round of 20, and $75 for any prelim win. The winner will get at least $2650, and has the potential to win $3125, depending on performance in the prelims/quarterfinal.

Nice i just caught up on the passed two pages. I am really excited and can't wait till this starts. Hopefully i don't donk my way out of it until the final two.

For $50 I dont think the payouts are that bad. Sept 7th start date is cool as it already is to me. Cant wait.

Money is due by the end of August
If you do not pay by then, your seat will be forfeited.

To pay, first, you must put the buyin amount ($50 or $250) into your cashiers account, then email bob at pokermanager@fullcontactpoker.com with your forum and poker room name, and buyin, from the email address listed under your poker account. he will then extract the money from your account, let me know, and you will be in. Please note he has a player list, so no trying to sneak in!

also, i read back a bit but wasnt sure...are all the buy-ins going to be refunded? people paying $250 for a spot in this cant afford the extra $25 for the games?

and if the money is being refunded, then what happens with the money you win if you win? do you lose it?

the buyins are going to be refunded, but it doesnt effect the prizepool because the payout takes into account what the winners get from the sng's themselves. The only reason buyins are being held until the end is to prevent no-shows.
