Generally passive table.

Two things, 1) am I right to try to protect my hand with this board and is leading my best option? and
2) how about the river play? I don't know what worse hands call.

Thanks

I probably call a raise on the flop and c/f the turn unimproved--if I am learning anything here.

hmmm

How are we improving there? With a 4 we have two pairs and Q gives us trips but still its a very dangerous board.10 K or 8 would kill us on river.Or we can be outkicked.

So if we are raised we are either outkicked or outdrawn. So i wouldn't call a flop raise.

But its just me i am sure an experienced poster can correct me here if i am wrong.

Maybe I'm stubborn.

If I really believe the players are passive, then you are right and the raise is a made hand that has me in bad shape. However, I know I would raise an OESD. I'm ahead of the draws by at least a little and a safe turn widens my edge.

Where to dump this hand if you get someone playing back at you is a tough question.

well played.

I also think folding if raised on flop is correct at passive table

folding if raised on the flop is almost always right with this hand. if the guy raises you he will almost always have you beat, and whats the point of turning a queen and only losing more when the guy actually had K 10. i liek the betting the whole way through. on the river i might call but it depends, i probably wouldnt. remember guys in these lower limits you dont need to put yourself in bad situations on that flop just wait for a better situation and the other players WILL pay you off.
