Is this in accociation with the WPT? If not, I'm surprised they let Gregorich wear the WPT jacket at the feature table.

Same channel. Same creator. Same cameramen. Same timeslot. My guess is that is in association.

Yeah, they had the first ep on a few months ago.

I didn't mind the commentary. Mark Seif was good, but the other guy was kind of lame. I think if you like the WPT, you'd like this. Sure, the announcers aren't as good, but every table is filled with great players.

It's funny that 500k is considered a small prize pool nowadays. And I'm not sure how much more you could possibly expect the prize pools to be in freeroll tourneys.

Maybe it's because I had already seen the episode, but I almost fell asleep by the end. Maybe the upcoming shows will be better.

I was just wondering,is the Travel channel logo in color,or is it transparent like on CBS,ABC etc. while they show any poker program?
I live in Canada so I'm just curious.I can't stand the fact that logos exist and prefer DVDs but now that the WPTour only releases Best of DVD's I'm screwed.

im not sure. i just know thats the only thing i liked about the show...some of the actual poker playing was good to watch but nothing too special

anybody else notice they are showing a lot of crap shoot hands. Everyone limps with Q7, J6, 54, KTo, and it just whoever fires first. Unless of course Noli Fransisco is in the pot.

Id like to see a bit more editing with some real power poker moves. Raymer was great while he lasted. Brindley is a euro donk.

That's the exact reason why this show is about 100x better than the WPT.

They never go into how these guys play in early rounds, and now we can see it. It's great, whether the announcers suck or not.

Some of the onscreen commentary is pretty good. "He's calling here to try to take it away on the turn" kind of stuff. Gets a bit more into deeper concepts than I've seen before on other shows.
