I was mucking around over at Bugsy's Club, and I was down to the last 150 in a 800 man tournament. I was slightly shortstacked after my aces got cracked by a Q-9o (9 on the turn and river) and I picked up 4-6o in the big blind. There were a few limpers in the pot, and I checked, not expecting much to come from the hand. But lo and behold, on the flop comes 6-6-5, rainbow. There were two big stacks in this hand, betting pretty big, with a couple of average stacks just calling, so I slowplay during the flop. The turn comes up with a 7.
I decide to move in now, and put in my last chips, a bigstack called and showed K-7o.
Now I was really pleased to see this, as I would triple up (thanks to all those limpers earlier) and really get back in the tournament big time. That was, of course, if that other 7 didn't come up on the river, which it did.
