I'm going on nights next week, so this weekend I have to switch my sleep schedule from 11pm-5:45am to 9am-4pm (ish).

To do this, I stay up as late as possible both friday and saturday night, and then sleep as far into the day as I can.

Going out and drinking isn't an option, cause I live in a small, mennonite town during the summer, plus my friends are all pussies.

My plan is to watch a bunch of movies during the wee hours of the night. This is where you come in.

What movies should I watch?

I need some variety, so Comedy, action, thriller/suspense, mystery, etc.

Some actors that I like or am in the mood to watch are Nicolas Cage, Edward Norton, Crhistian Bale and Matt Damon. I also enjoy watching movies with hot women.

Nic Cage: National Treasure (I like history though)
Matt Damon: The Bourne Movies are entertaining
Christian Bale: Batman Begins

I'm not sure what you've seen, so I'll throw in some obscure ones.

I'm looking at my 75 DVD's and cant decide on a thing for you.

Memento
Lebowski
Swingers
The Usual Suspects
Can't Hardly Wait
The Count of Monte Cristo
Man on Fire
40 YOV
The Ref
Scent of a Woman
The Station Agent (quirky movie, but was good)

I don't know, I got nothing

Ed Norton: Primal Fear

just watch The Godfather I and II and keep saying, "This, is the business we have chosen"
lvpro

Thanks for the post, you pegged my movie tastes almost perfectly. The ones that I struckthrough are the ones I've seen already.

I've wanted to see memento for awhile, will probably check it out.

No doubt I'm gonna get Swingers, as everyone talks about it, and I haven't ever seen it. Plus I'm a big fan of Vince Vaughn.

Scent of a Woman is the movie in which Pacino says the phrase "Hooo-Waaa" right? I might check that out soley for that.

Are you sure it isn't How I Met Your Mother?
mbreon
Go to imdb.com, look at their Top 250 list, and watch any movie on there that you haven't seen. That's a good place to start.
LadyGrey

This film is absolutely astounding, but if you can't find it or it's not your sort of thing Memento or Fargo are both solid choices.

"Oh, Frasier, you're so corpulent, that when you sit around the magnificently appointed tuscan villa, you sit around the magnificently appointed tuscan villa."

Family Guy is great.

oh goody, I'm 2-2 with Hobbsey so far in movie recommendations, lets see if I can go 3-3. This is the real test. The Station Agent ain't everyone's cup of tea, but everyone that I know that has seen it, likes it.

25th Hour
Finding Forrester
Primal Fear
SNL: Will Ferrell (but they gave me adam sandler....meh)
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Swingers
Ordinary Decent Criminal

These weren't the exact ones that I wanted, but I got tired of looking, and just went with the ones I had found.
