Yeah yeah, I don't have the hand history so no hand converter, but I'll try to make it as clean as possible.

180 man Stars $20 tourney, 1 hour in, i'm in 20th place, have about 2900 in chips. On the button, utg raises min, I have Ad Jd, 4 callers along with me.

800 chips in the pot, flop comes
As Qd 10d

First position bets 400, utg+1 folds, 3rd guy raises 600 to make it 1000.

Now I really think he has two pair, doubtful he flopped the straight with that raise I'm thinking. I pick up a gut shot Royal Flush draw and top pair jack kicker.
I decide to push here, thinking two pair might fold and even if he doesn't I'm about 50/50. Also, if I double up here I'm the chipleader of the tourney. The raiser thinks for about 30 seconds and calls with A-Q, hard to blame him I guess. My question is should I have pushed here, just called, and would you call with A-Q there? Thanks

Well, you're not folding two pair here, and especially not top two pair, so I really wouldn't worry too much about fold equity. He's definitely paying you off if you hit here, so I'd go ahead and smooth call to make sure the initial bettor comes along too, and gives you the best possible price on your draw. If it was already heads-up though, then I'd just go ahead and push the coin-flip.

stop posting results.

stack sizes on other players would be nice.

to just call, and asuming best case and 1st guy calls (did we lose someone?)
Anyway, it would be 800 + 2000 = 2800 for 1000.

You have 12 cards that you feel safe give you the best hand. And some, A or J that may, but you can't be sure and are more likley to get in troulbe if you hit one of them than you would be to get paid off more.

in any event, do I want to pay 1000 for 2800 + implied odds ?
I'll have 1700 left. So, how much do opponents have?
What is ave stack?
1700 with 50/100 blinds is certainly playable.

Given lack of preflop rera-isng we can reduce chances we're up against AA/QQ/TT. Even AQ re-raises a min raise sometimes.

A push gives 800+400+1000+2700 = 4900 to 2700 odds. You won't fold better hands, but with the overlay in the pot, I think its' a smart play.

Push.
