Well, US didn't get two goals, which they would've needed to make up for Reyna's howler...

But you're right for the most part.

We got screwed over by the refs, but it's time we man up too.

We did not play well enough to advance.

Our showing agaisnt the CR was the worst game we have played in over two years, it was pathetic. We got what we deserved that match.

Agaisnt Italy, I believe we win that game if we don't get hosed by the ref, but we played our best game and got a point out of it giving us a shot to make the second round.

Ghana, well we got a crappy call on the PK, but the truth of it is we never put in a second goal, so all we would have done is tied and we would be out anyway. At least we showed signs of life this match. We actually had shots on goal, and put one in ourselves.

While we got the shaft by the refs, we didn't play well enough to advance and we can't count on the refs to do it for us.

Agreed. the refs are blowing it in almost 90% of the games. But let's not make excuses for a poorly coached and lackluster US team. I am all in favor of complaining about the horrid calls, but not in favor of giving the USA any excuses that don't put any of responsibility on them. 1 goal. That is ridiculous.

Here's my list in order of reasons the USA won't lose 5-0 to Brazil:

1. Poor coaching
2. Poor play
3. Poor officiating

US National team isnt great, played terrible 2-3 games. As i said from the beginning of the world cup they wont advance and shouldnt be ranked 5th in world rankings, not even top 10.

yes the refs overall have sucked, no the US wasn't screwed by the refs. We played a crap defensive style and don't have the talent to beat the teams in our group. Only those that don't know the game that much ever really exptected teh US to difinitively get out of the group

Another horrible blown call today. Missed a handball on a Tunisian free kick that would've given Tunisia a PK. Has soccer ever considered adding another referee so that there are multiple angles to see a play from?

its only being ruined for those who don't watch that much football/soccer during the normal league seasons. Do the refs blow, yes, but that is a silly statement that you made. The only thing that needs to change is Sepp Blatter being ousted from office and to stop telling the refs to call every nitpick foul

almost every game has had some bad decisions. Or atleast questionable ones. The real issue is that they have been changing the result of a game.

ur kidding right? We arent able to see the best teams have b/c everybody is out on cards. We arent seeing real soccer b/c everybody is so scared to play for fear of a card. The only thing consistant about the world cup refereeing so far is that cards are constantly being given at random. I am sorry but i dont want to watch a game being played 9 v 9 or 10 v 9 which have both happened so far.

Right now You see much better soccer in club games then we are seeing here.

There have still been plenty of exciting games and if you can't droll at the match ups for the most part that are set up for the quarters then you aren't a fan. All of the bad refs will now be gone due to their horrible performances and we will be left with the better ones for the most part. The best teams of the tourny have still gotten through and that is what matters

Sorry you still arent reading anything i said right. We have star plays missing games (Zidane, Essian...). I dont mean soccer is being destroyed but that we arent seeing the best games possible b/c refs are out of control. You can try to say im not a fan but when u watch club games do u see these players having to sit out every couple games? Of course not. Do you see games with this many yellows? (almost 300 and we are almost to just the quarters). Look at the next round. More star players missing b/c of cards...There hasnt been another world cup when this has happened.

The problem with yoru assertion about the "bad refs being gone" is that some of the highest rated refs are now gone as well b/c of blunders. There still isnt going to be quality refereeing. The best of germany will be gone, the best of england is gone and now we are still left with subpar refereeing. This is an international tournament and frankly the refereeign hasnt been up to the level that is expected.
