Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

Hero (t8628)
SB (t2046)
BB (t1326)

Preflop: Hero is Button with , .
Hero calls t200, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t600) , , (3 players)
SB bets t200, BB folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t800

*************************************************

my sole purpose for being in this pot is to encourage SB to limp and hopefully they battle for the pot.

I'd love to start discusions on techniques to manipulate action / chips / etc to get thru bubble.

For example, if SB is Lag, and he's tied with other fella battling for the last spot, I"ll let him take my BB chips pretty easily, because he's gonig to call the push from the 3rd guy as long as he has a few more chips than him. One of them will lose.
Obviously, this is in moderation.

While that is a nice idea to have, I don't think it will happen in the field enough to warrant as being a viable strategy. I think you would be better off sitting back and letting them fight it out by folding from the button there if that is what you want to happen. Realistically, you do better by being agressive with the big stack from that spot IMO.

Actuary,

meh, i dunno. i dont play alot of SNGs but here's what can happen if you fold.

1 they play a big pot, either one busts or one is severely crippled
2 they play a small pot, chip counts dont change much AND you still have a large chiplead where you can still expploit their fear of bubblin.

i think a confrontation is much more likely to happen if you fold. they're both afraid of you, so get out of their way.

you don't think SB sees nice pot odds here?
Maybe even a chance to move in on my weak limp?

it seemed more worthwhile when I was tired.

Yeah, just get out of the way with junky hands and let the SB/BB get into a battle of the blinds.

When the big stack enters the hand, it'll actually curtail their betting and aggressiveness since they know you'll have much looser standards to call plus you have position.

if i were one of the villains, i'd be more inclined to think you were trapping by limping the button.
