Ecuador won huge today so they're in the driver's seat to win Group A.

The final match with Germany is meaningful now...whoever places 2nd will likely have to play England in the Round of 16.

Ecuador has a +2 goal differential lead on Germany...which means Germany must beat them in order to get first in the group.

Can/will/should Germany go for the win?


If Ecuador/Germany were playing for the same thing (Ecuador will obviously not be trying to win the game so much as to not lose), who would win, seeing what you have at this point?

This is going to be a great game. If Germany plays like they did against Poland, they should win. However, if Ecuador plays like they have been through this World Cup, they should also win. Germany might be a small favorite to win, being they are playing at home, but Ecuador is going to give them a run for their money.

I say someone wins 1-0, or it's a 0-0 tie.
