Relevant Stack Sizes

Hero (Button); $200
Villain (MP3); $200

Preflop: Hero is dealt 10 icon_suit_club.gif 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif
5 fold, Villain raise to $10, 1 fold, Hero calls $10, 2 folds

Flop: ($23) (2 players) J icon_suit_spade.gif 9 icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_club.gif
Villain bets $15, Hero calls $15

Turn: ($53) (2 players) J icon_suit_heart.gif
Villain bets $15, Hero raises to $45, Villain calls $45

Villain checks (?), Hero....?

Will post other streets after I get some feedback.

All streets are questionable and could have been played other ways I am sure. Will let people at it before posting Villain hands.

Hero checks. Unless you feel your opponent will make marginal calls with nopair/big ace, or smaller pair, then betting here seems futile. Either he makes a good bluff, and gets you off your hand, calls and beats you, or folds the worse hand.

Other than that, well played hand. I was looking for a raise on the flop, but you put one in on the turn. Very nice.

Anyone put Villain on AA/KK/QQ who is playing passive worried I have a J? That a decent sized bet on the river would put him off.

If you certainly have this read, then of course, go ahead and try and get rid of him. You'd have to shove of course. If you dont know, not worth it.

I usually try to win hands like this on the flop. You're going to put him to tough decision unless he's flopped a set.

considering the fact the villian is MP and were in position, is it possible to re-raise PF

I tend to agree with much of the commentary. I think playing this stronger pre flop and on the flop would garner better results. By only calling the pre flop and flop raise it leaves me more confused as to where I am at as can be seen here...

River: ($143) (2 players) 3 icon_suit_heart.gif
Villain checks, Hero bets $60, Villain calls $60

Villain shows 10 icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_heart.gif winning the pot with a flush

For some reason I had convinced myself he had QQ/KK/AA and might be able to lay it down to a big river bet. Obviously I was mistaken and probably shouldn't have made the river bet in the first place.

Thanks for the feedback
