1-2NL ring game

BB w/ AJ

Folds around to right before the button who raises to $6, I call.

Flop : J 10 3

I think he is gonna bet at it again, so I check to him. He bets $5...I check raise him $15 more.

He thinks and calls.

Turn is a 4

Harmless looking card, so I come out and bet $30

He calls

River is a 2

The board looks pretty good for my AJ, and I think he may have a busted draw, or at best pair with a lower kicker. So I bet out $45...and he raises all in for only about $35 more. So I call.

He has..............

Anyone tell me a better way of playing this? Or why the FUK he would call a $15 check raise on the flop with 6 high?

You got outplayed. I love when people are willing to throw tons of chips are TPTK. The other night in a live game, there were six callers at the river with a Jack high on the board. I had AJ -- and it won. (WTF)

Next hand I bet on the flop and everyone folds. Comments of "He's tight as hell, he had jacks with an ace and didn't go all in in that last hand."

And they were serious.

I dunno about "outplayed". Outdrawn is more like it. you want a guy like that at your table. More often than not, they;ll miss their draws.

I think he may have forgotten the sw on the "outplayed" post merc.

I keep reminding myself of that when I get outdrawn biggrin.gif
