$200 NL $1/$2 live at Winstar in OK...been at the table for an hour.

Both villian and hero have $200

Read: villian is somewhat loose passive..limps a lot and will chase draws priced in or not

Hero dealt KsQs UTG

Table reads: generally passive table, most players are limping preflop and many times there are 6-7 limpers in a hand.

Hero calls, 6 other limpers (including villian in the SB)

Pot:$14

Flop: Qc5s2s

villian checks, Hero bets $10, all fold to SB who calls

Pot: $34

Turn: 9h

Villian bets $15, Hero raises to $45, villian calls

River: Js

Villian bets $20, Hero raises to $80, villian re-raises all-in, Hero thinks for 5 seconds and calls the all-in (about $65 more).

Total Pot: $400

I think I played the hand ok (but if you have other opinions I'd like them)...my question is on the river...it's obvious to me that villian has the flush but am I losing value here if I just call his river bet? or is this an automatic push at these levels with the 2nd best flush?

Just callin the river would be a mistake.

he has to have the axs to beat u and with him being loose i expect him to not have more often then he has it

I think you played it just fine.

Some may argue to jam the turn when he gave you the chance, I say you played it very well. Consistancy is the key to keep your opponent guessing in future hands.

given your opponent and the way you played the hand i think raising the river is ok. but against this guy i would push the river rather than raising the amount you did. the reason is that if he push reraises, you really cannot fold getting better than 5-1, so stacking him when he calls (and it sounds like he would) with a lower flush would make up for the times he stacks you with Ax and provide better long-run value. since you described him as being somewhat passive, sometimes you may only get a call on a smaller river raise, whereas he is jamming with Ax every time.

as far as flop/turn, i think you played it great.
