Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero ($11.00 in chips) is MP3 with [As] [Qs]
UTG folds, UTG+1 ($10.75 in chips) calls, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls.

Standard raise I would think.

Flop: [Qd] [8c] [Qh] ($3, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

With more than one opponent, I would bet. With a lone opponent, I opt to check.
Turn: [Kd] ($3, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1, UTG+1 calls.

His one free card is a good one IMO, in that he is more likely to have a hand that fits with a king than a 7 or 2 for example. My bet is pretty small though, and in hindsight I am thinking it should have been 1/2 the pot at least. Thoughts?

River: [Tc] ($5, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

His call of my turn bet was automatic, almost (hard to tell sometimes) like he had the button clicked to call ANY bet. What could I possibly be up against here that would make a ten a scare card for me? A J of diamonds perhaps, or 9 J, something of that sort maybe. He took his time in checking the river also, but you can't rely on stuff like that for sure.

For some reason, I lost all courage when it fell, and checked behind. How weak was that, or is it possibly not a bad check?

Results:
Final pot: $5

Be gentle...

You think too much

3/4 pot on turn and river

I cannot believe you checked that river

If it was Limit, I would agree, but not so much in PL (you really think someone would call $3, 1/3 of their stack, on a draw, without hesitation (meaning the 'check-call any' button was clicked)?)

Yes I do, and neither could I after I did it.
