Is your chat turned off all the time?
Just ignore it?
Or do you just hate me?
Nikki_N
I'm guessing hate.

I'm gonna have to agree. Maybe he has Dave set to ignore.

Ha. Sorry, man. I wasn't ignoring you. Just play so many tables that I sometimes miss the chat. I'll keep an eye out in the future.

This is why I question you repeatedly on AIM.

Ok maybe not. But you are dreamy.

Hey Cobalt, what are your thoughts on the lower limits at Bodog .(NLHE,LHE,PLO) I'm thinking of tossing a couple hundred on there and taking a run at it.

I know you play much higher limits, but I figured i'd ask anyway. Maybe you started out grinding the low limits there, I don't know. I'm most curious about the competition, traffic, etc. I mostly play NLHE $25, LHE .50/1.00 and PLO$25.

Thanks.

The lower limits are full of bad players. I started out on Bodog with $25 and playing .05/.10 NLHE. Have turned that into ~$45k in around 20 months...so it's definitely my sentimental "home". There really isn't too much LHE or PLO on there, but the games that are going are pretty soft as a result. As for NLHE, I think it's possible to make a decent wage playing .25/.50 on there. I'm usually playing 1/2, 2/4, 3/6 these days. One day, I'll get the nerve and roll to take shots at 5/10.

I dont post here as much anymore but i thought id comment on this since there was a time when me and cobalt played together a lot

the low limit nl are pretty easy at bodog. averaging 20bb/100 is not a problem at all at 25nl there.

Limit there is also pretty easy up to 2/4 at least (as high as i went). you cant use poker tracker but id assume that at my bb/100 was around 3-4. Most on that site have no clue on limit

Cobalt did u really have 45k playin at those limits

not just from 25-100nl. he hasn't been playing 100nl for 20 months, lol.

---

Bodog is very soft. I took $50 to 4k in a few months playing 50 and 100nl there. mixed with HU cash games on another site for another extra 2k. oh and then i donked off taht in a night, but that's a different story.

so yea, very soft low limit nl games.

Well, I live off of my play, so my current roll is only ~12k.

Well, you talked me into it. Bodog will be my next new site. I'll probably chuck $250-$300 on there with the next couple of rakeback payments from my other sites.

On a side note, I was playing at Absolute yesterday and a couple of donks were talking about how awful Bodogs software is. Is it really that bad??

I don't much care, as I play at Pacific , whose software is gross. Just curious.

Thanks for the info.

people lose on bodog and complain about the site...but i probably have made as much or more on there hten ive made on party over an equal amount of hands

Bodog is awesome. I've made 3k in a week and a half playing no higher than 100nl, and this includes a heinous downswing in which I lost 4 concecutive all ins preflop with AA each for a buy in. My only complaint is the 3 table max. I tried to email support to get it lifted, but they did nothing. Is there any way around it?

Before you download it and sign up on there, shoot me a PM. I can get you rakeback.

And, the software was pretty glitchy when they first put out this second version, but it's actually decent these days.

I will, but it might be a while, need to get a couple more rakeback payments under my belt. Thanks, Cobalt.

What affiliate do you use for RB at Bodog?

It's a site called cuttherake.com. When you get around to signing up, go through them and I'd certainly appreciate it if you told them I referred you.

Not if you went through an affiliate or listed a referral when you signed up with Bodog. They're also slowing down on "conversions" of existing accounts unless you're a "high volume player".
