Anyone catch the first episode of this? I'm a fan of Speed Poker, and I was rooting for Colclough to win it...probably cause she's hot. Also, the guy that went out in 3rd might've been one of the worst NLHE tournament players I've ever seen on TV.

Colclough played pretty well. There were a lot of bad players though, especially the guy that went out third. BTW, Lisa Dergan is smokin'!

Strange how they're rotating hosts. I hadn't heard Gracz commentate before, but I thought he did a good job. I'm not a fan of Tompkins though. He adds very little value to the show.
I have to say that Rogers' call with J-high on Friedman was stunning. I can see how he rationalized it based on the board and action, but it's a very tough call.

Hmmm - I may look into this. Sounds like it could be a decent freeroll.

I just won my seat for a 1c buy in... also just watched it for the 1st time, pretty weird. 15 seconds to act, PL before the flop, NL after. 50K to start, Blinds at 1k/2k. If I have opponents like I've seen on the show I have a good chance

) I'll play 7/9, no Idea when it airs...I'm pretty excited I have to say

What amI going to wear???

Please don't play as bad as most of the people on there.

From what I've seen, there's no chance I'll play that bad...how the hell did these guys qualify in the 1st place?
Then again, I have no clue how the lights, camera, action will affect my game... I might just freeze and donk...

Yeah, that's what I've always wondered...how they manage to get through huge fields and then play that badly. Could be intimidation, I guess.
Also, how did you qualify exactly? And, good luck.

I got that part. Was just wondering if it was on mansionpoker.com or what, cause they run free qualifiers on mansionpoker.net.

Just that one...click on the thumbnail above.
And yes, Socal I agree

IfI make it to the final I might meet (and beat) one of them...

I'm watching the episode from last night, and it's driving me nuts to watch all these open-limpers with trash. The tiny bets into huge pots are also idiotic. As long as you don't do those two things, I'll definitely be rooting for you. =)

Holy crap...the guy on last night was seriously the worst televised tournament poker player in the history of the game. He folded his BB to the SB's call like a dozen times. He also open-folded plenty of flops and called with T-high (no draws) on several occasions. I realize that he didn't speak English and had only been playing for three months, but seriously...not knowing the basics of poker action is ridiculous. My theory is that his underage son won the entry into the tournament and couldn't play, so the dad went instead.

I couldn't believe it. My favorite part was heads up when the SB pushed with 6-6, and he called IMMEDIATELY with the 9-4os. Cracked me up.
And your theory makes sense, but couldn't they find ANYONE who knew the rules?
About the tournaments at large - the quality of play is pretty f'ing bad. The structure seems to suck though after the first two levels.

I have a theory about that hand also. I think he saw the other guy throw the all-in chip in the middle and he just threw his in also (without knowing what it did). Cause if you noticed, it looked like he was trying to fold his hand after that (sliding the cards face down to the side). He looked surprised that he'd called.
And, there's usually one or two decent players. The structure seems decent enough that the terrible players usually lose and the good ones usually win.

Wow, I just saw the latest episode. That guy really had no idea what he was doing. The crazy thing is that he didn't really go out that easily when it was heads-up.
