My favorite parts of the episodes were Haveson's comeback and Funston's AA versus Men's J9. Men hit two pair on the turn and Funston rivered a better two pair. You could tell that Men was pissed.

I was railing a bit during Day 1 of this tourney until I got bored and saw some really funny stuff that they haven't aired or maybe that they missed...like when Bill Gazes donned a giant panda head for his eco-causes and Flack started pounding on it/him during a hand he beat him out of a pot...Liebert's quads vs the flopped wheel was pretty sick too.

Missed the rerun of the 2nd episode today due to the National College Tennis Championship running too long!

Wow, Funston is possibly the biggest donkey I've ever seen. Watching him suck out hand after hand was painful. It's like it was his first time at a poker table.

They need to show more of the replays of these episodes. I have only seen 1/2 the first episode and never the second.

They already aired episode 3 at 2:30AM last night on ESPN2.

Not only did the episode get delayed cuz of some baseball game running 30min late but the showed reruns again!

Anybody catch the new episodes last night?? I missed it but wondering if ESPN indeed showed the new episodes. I have only seen the first 2 episodes soo far cuz ESPN has been soo screwy with airing the USPC so far.

With over 100,000 in chips, deciding whether or not to call an all in, Funston calls over an official and asks...."Does a flush beat 3 of a kind?"

I wonder if Funston's apparent stupidity is an act? Do you think someone would enter a major tournament if they didn't know if a flush beats three of a kind? He's among the chip leaders by getting lucky constantly, but maybe his "act" is working.

Still haven't seen episodes 3-6 yet.

I thought it might be kind of an act as well, but his play itself is way too bad for it to all be an act.

And I believe, Funston must be acting at least to a certain degree, he doesnt seem like a stupid man, so his stupidity at the table cannot be totally authentic.

So is anyone actually caught up on these episodes. I still have only seen first two episodes(usually all ESPN plays) even though 7 and 8 should have aired last night. I keep missing Tuesday nights when the new episodes air and ESPN rarely has been playing any repeats lately since World Cup is always on.

I've seen only the first few (1-4). It's annoying because like you said, they're rarely playing repeats. I think I'm just going to set my DVR to record all new episodes. Should've done that earlier but it also seems like their scheduling has been messed up a bit .

Yup not only is their scheduling messed up, when episodes 1 and 2 aired, they repeated those 1-2 times everyday for a week, sadly no repeat for any of the other episodes.

Men Nguyen is a prick.

Man, is that Caporuscio a luck f--k or what? AK against AK and he backdoors a flush. He was catching all the cards and getting all the luck. It sucked that we didn't get to see John Juanda play a single hand in the first hour.

Yeah, I agree... I'm not too fond of Men Nguyen at all.

pretty crazy how two guys from the same home game ended up HU. I would have loved to see capo blow his 10-1 chip lead.

Forget Caporuscio, I think Pecorale is the luckiest player I've ever seen. He hardly ever got his money in with the best of it and was catching cards like crazy. I can't believe the final 5 consisted of Men the Master, Steve Brecher, Juanda and 2 amateurs and the amateurs end up in the top 2.

I was also surprised they caught Pecorale saying that he was a better player than his buddy. That last hand by him especially was a ridiculously donkatastic play.

it was caporuscios tourney. he had the sickest run of cards to get heads up. When Q3 cracked mens JJ it was obvious to me that he could do not wrong.

The other key hand was when he made Vizza laydown on the turn when Vizza had 10 10 on the jack high board and and caporuscio had AQ. i really couldnt believe vizza folded. That is a lovely flop for 10 10 especially against a big stack with extra gambling chips. Who knows though lol perhaps the river would have been a A or Q.

There was one hand in particular where Juanda called the clock on him before the flop because he was taking forever. This aggravated Men, and he went all-in on the flop and almost immediately called the clock on Juanda. He sat there with this scowl on his face and Juanda eventually folded. I thought it was pretty lame of him--he can dish it out but he can't take it.

In a way, it seems a little shady or rigged how these two players never like got involved in pots together up until they were both heads up. Oh and yes they were both extremely lucky on the sickest run of cards to finish top 2 with all the pros at that final table.

Men was playing sloppy drunk. I think that's really what pissed off JJ.

As for the two home game buddies soft playing each other ... I don't remember details but I remember at least one case at the FT of them playing each other hard. I only remember it because I thought "Cool, they're not going to soft play each other".
