The "theory" I mentioned in the OP:
People who check behind after steal-raising preflop have the nuts or nothing. In this case, it was AK. I hated my line as I was putting in the check-raise.
this is a good theory, and generally correct, but its PRECISELY why screech's justification for not raising the turn is also correct. you're not going to easily get away from this hand, and it's reasonable to expect that he's not going to give up on his bluff if he's behind, and of course he's not folding a better hand, so just call 'er right on down.
