Sure he is loose, but his post-flop agressiveness is pretty low, so is this river just a call?

I was just reading an article about how a high VPIP and a low AF does not necessarily mean a player is passive. I think I know why, but I'm not too sure why, so I'm hoping someone could explain.

Having said that, I think you should raise the river. There are a ton of draws on this board that he may very well be jamming on the turn that all miss the river. He could easily be bluffing with these hands on the river. Furthermore, any hand like KT, AT, QT, JT, T9, T8 (especially in spades) is paying you off too. 65 just got counterfeited, so I think a raise is in order.

Ugh... I used to be able to explain it, but now I'm rusty...

Here's a good article...

I've been overthinking myself since getting PT. Thanks for the article.

0.8 AF is very high for someone with a 70VPiP

u c y?

becuse he is getting very aggressive with ANY PIECE..since he plays so many hands...he must call a lot too...so in order to have a 0.8 AF while still playing a ton of hands, he is usually betting/raising his semi-decent and better ones

But more importantly...players with these stats are bad. They slow play sets on coordinated boards, and don't raise AA from the Button for deception..etc.

just be aware that 70/x/0.8 is not passive post flop.

I don't raise the river...
- you can't fold to a raise
- you have to be good 2/3 times.

read replies now...

didn't read article.

55/66/33 still not counterfeited

I don't have balls to raise here, NL talking I guess.

I'd raise this river. There are a lot of two pair combos that just got counterfeited, and a villain this dumb could be going berserk with just TP.

Actuary,

We don't need to be ahead 2/3 times since that villain will three-bet hands that we beat given his stats. If we needed to be ahead 66% of the time it would be a lot closer.

I'd be scared to raise that river with that turn action, although a lot of hands that may play like that just got counterfeighted...
