I prevailed over Rhinestone in a grueling match that saw us both with a chance for the knockout punch.

I'm working on a detailed recap now...

Nice job Chris, we needed the win. I got home from work and logged on just in time to see that the match ended a minute ago.

A marathon battle that went back and forth with each of us having a chance at the knockout blow.

We started off slow, trading small jabs as we tried to get a read on each other.

After the first 20 hands or so, Rhinestone slowly started to pull away. $50 here... $60 there...

First big hand came when I had A8o, hit an 8 on the flop, and felt it was good, but I didn't bet it on the turn (not sure why now), and let Rhinestone hit a 9 on the river, to give him a straight for a $400 pot.

I fought back to about $1300, then lost another big pot of $600 (don't remember details) that took me down to $960.

Cards went cold on me, and Rhinestone was picking off my bluffs for a bit, and I was dwindled down to $495.

I got an A3o and on an AKJ flop, I shoved it in. Rhinestone had KQ and nearly beat me into the pot. My A's held up, and I was back in the game.

The cards started to fall my way for a while. I was either catching good cards, hitting the flop, or running successful bluffs.

One big hand was when I limped with 34o, and a beautiful A25 flop came down. Another A on the river came, and Rhinestone held A3o, which netted me a $780 pot and put me in the lead.

I continued to run well and had about a 3 to 1 chip lead for a little bit.

Rhinestone started pushing in and putting pressure on me though, and I never had anything good enough to call him with.

With Rhinestone at $895, he pushed in and I called with AT clubs. Rhinestone had AQo and the A on the flop was no help for me.

I found myself back in the hole.

I was able to claw back to even again... and we started from scratch...

Rhinestone started to catch some hands now (and make plays on me, I'm sure) and he got $500 lead on me.

Then I caught a couple of hands.. including trip A's that I wasn't able to trap Rhinestone with... and regained the lead...

Final hand

RneStnCowboy ($690 in chips)

Rhinestone pushed in with K4o... and I was lucky enough to find KQs in my hand...

A Q on the flop, and no help for Rhinestone, and that was it.

Overall, it was a great match! An up and down roller-coaster ride for sure!!!
