Been at the table for about an hour - villain seemed solid, was aggressive when he had position.

I called the flop and fired on the turn when a non-spade hit although I saw the higher straight possibility hit the board.

Comments please

yipes.

it's weird cause he limped there...so my range kinda changes for him..although I have no "read"...do you have at least a raising range?

I think he may have a set on the flop (77 most likely), and turn he is just pushing it. We can't fold the turn now that we are so invested...

K icon_suit_spade.gif Q icon_suit_spade.gif could be a possibility and is something I could see him limp there...AK doesn't make sense to limp preflop...

it's tough though...more so for me cause he limped in..he could limp 89s here to Axs, no?

so let's see...

KQs - lose
Axs - lose
89s - lose
78s - lose
67s - lose

set - ahead

A/K icon_suit_spade.gif x - behind now and drawing dead, although I find this hand unlikely cause he'd raise it up Preflop (maybe AsQx).

I dunno. honestly, for his limping range i think you are behind more often than ahead here. but with so much invested on the turn it's a tough fold and not one I'd make often.

how many seven of spades are in a deck

meh. you know what i meant. i'd see his "limping" range beating us here more often than his 'raising' range...

but i heard there were 8

I dont like this hand at all. I think the only logical hand here we beat is a set. For me this seems like a raise or fold on the flop.

you seriously think folding the flop is an option

you just automatically give him credit for the flush?

thats a horrible play

You think CALLING is a good play? We're not going to improve, so we might as well figure out whether we're good or not. IF you're beat on the flop, you are essentially drawing dead.

you think folding is a good playe?

you dont think they trying to steal it with the A of spades

or a pair and a high flush draw.

or they might be protecting the flush themselves with a set/two pair

This is a really tough one

A icon_suit_spade.gif Jx is a possibility

a set is a definite possibility

I think we gotta get em in on the turn as you did

I'm betting $75 on the turn and folding to his Raise. I think he limped in with suited spades and has a small flush.
