im almost positive im beat here but getting 3.4 - 1 do i have to call?

You never have to do anything in poker. If you think you are ahead more than 1 in 3.4 times here, call. If not, fold.

I think this is a set more often than not.

I probably let this go to the reraise despite odds

AJ off is not a great hand full ring so I would tend not to raise w/ it in EP, actually I fold it quite a bit.

I agree that you're most likely beat here and I really don't think 3.4-1 is enough here. Looks like the classic; wow a set, let's call the flop and raise the turn". Not saying a set is the only hand you're worried about.
