If u were up against a good player there is a chance he is value betting middle pair. The funny thing about maniacs is that they think u cant have that ace so they are going to bluff you. So calling down is the right aproach let him fire its + EV

Until I saw that.

Seeing the river with K high is awkward.
But calling down is usually the right play against these types.

I like this call down much more than "K high #2".

The board pairs and there are tons of hands that we can conceivably beat.
