So villain hadn't been at the table long, but I had already witnessed him going crazy capping the turn with queen high and no draw, so I am sure that affected my thinking, perhaps too much. I think I have problems with each street.

Preflop, should I be raising? On the flop, should I have capped (I think going for the checkraise is ok)? On the turn, should I have b/c or maybe just c/c or b/f, I don't know? And on the river is b/f a better line? ARGGGGGGGG, so many freaking options and I have no idea what is right.

3-betting preflop is an option, but I like just calling too. At these limits people usually don't fold when its two back to them, so it looks like the pot is going to be at least 4-5 way. I'd rather see a flop first then, and exploit my equity later in the hand.

On the flop, facing the field to call two cold, perfect. Given your read of villain I would certainly cap the flop. Against his range you are probably ahead more then 50% of the time.

I would bet/ call the turn, and c/c the river.

Yeah..I WANT TO 3-bet preflop becuase I want KQ, QJs, A9, to all fold...but they won't.


However, we have great VALUE with a raise, and may fold some over cards in BB hand.

Flop was beautiful.

And like Verdimme: bet/call Turn (charge draws/overs/he's a lag/maniac/donkey?)

c/c river: no more draws to protect, he'll bet for us, we are beat by a donkey sometimes.

This guy knows his stuff.

If we can get it heads up, I would 3-bet. Calling is certainly an option as well.

Personally, I will 3-bet preflop almost every time though. I don't really care if it's capped 10 ways with this hand. I think we are still putting our money in with an edge (although I don't have PokerStove to verify this right now), and in reality, it's pretty easy to play this hand postflop. I don't mind putting in a bunch of bets preflop, or letting everyone call two cold with K7, A5, etc.

So, my point is, I don't mind playing this heads up, or multiway, but we have to adjust our postflop play, depending on what happens after our 3-bet, and how many are in, and pot size, et al.
