How should I have played this? Villain is loose, and he has bluffed himself to bad situations: once he bluffed so much, that he was all in on the turn with AJ-high and deep stack. I tought he probably wasn't on a draw, since we had played some hands before this and I think he would have check-called hoping to see the next card. Other than that, he could have anything, total bluff, set, two pair or king.

Normally I would raise and see where I am against this big stack, but now I really don't know even if I raise, as he had done some really stupid calls and bluffs. And if he was bluffing, I sure wanted him to continue it. So what to do?

oops, that title seems really stupid with capital letters. Please don't mind that smile.gif (edit number 30, i guess it's the software that makes the capital letters smile.gif

Hmm, for future info, why was this thread moved from short-handed forum? I tought this was sh when it's 7max and currently 5 players..

I think with a maniac in this spot it's best to let him take the lead, especially since you have position on him. If a really scary card comes, it's prob safe to lay it down at no huge loss. If he's betting a weaker K or a draw, let him keep doing it. I think raising him won't give you the info you're looking for since as you pointed out, he's capable of putting his chips in with nothing.

If he regurarly gets his whole stack in there with a bluf or a weaker hand than top pair top kicker I think you should call the flop and make a nice check-raise on the turn.

Yeah, let him drive it up. He'll continue to drive it up since you didn't bail on his overbet/bluff.

I've cashed in big against guys like this. They bluff one guy out and think they can do it all the time.

Plus you're beating any Kx. The only think that has you beat is AA or KK.

I call and check raise.
Santzes
Well, I'll post the result. I called, and the turn was T which didn't fill the FD, he continued betting and I called again. River was A, he checked, I bet half the pot, he called with K7o and I rivered his two pair tongue.gif
