I have been active in this forum in the past but kinda stopped posting. I have decided to come back and post a series of hands from recent sessions to provoke some analysis and discussion (some hands that I won and some hands that I lost)

Quick background on me: I turned a bank roll of 75 bucks into a thousand over the last year, I withdrew 400 leaving me with 600 to play 1-2 and a plan for the summer to play more and start playing semi-serously. (I play on pokerroom if that matters to anyone)

Hand number 1:
PokerRoom 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with ks.gif, ad.gif.
UTG raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 7 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) kd.gif, ac.gif, jc.gif (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG calls.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 3h.gif (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: (7.75 BB) qd.gif (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11.75 BB

if you want to know the result of the hand or have any questions concerns comments etc. please feel free to PM me, otherwise post away

I often wait to raise the turn.
Depends on opponent.
More aggressive ones, i definitly wait until the turn.

hand looks good though

and welcome back

i generally wait to raise the turn, also, esp. with someone who appears that aggressive.

But a scary river card for sure.

When I flop two pair i'll often wait for the turn but not when there are flush and str8 draws on the board. I think you can get more money in pumping it up now while people are drawing. NH.

the odds of that 1 opponent hitting this FD are so low, that I tend to really discount the need to make them pay for it, and revert to raisng the turn for more value.

however, with gut shots and oesd galore... yeah..I'm seeing your point, just not on the FD alone...

however, most hand hit this flop hard, and I"d expect to get value on a turn raise too. But we do risk Villain not leading the turn
