Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, Q.
4 folds, SB raises, Hero calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 5, 4, 6 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3 BB) 7 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (5 BB) 8 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises,

raising here is pretty standard vs. party donks, RIGHT??? but a good player would not bet a worse hand than mine on this river.

River raise seems standard.

Flop and turn calls aren't.

i think the flop call is ok ... i've probably got several outs and i should get at least an extra BB on average when i improve, and he will sometimes check the turn when i don't improve

and the turn brings me more outs, although i'm getting worse odds
PoppinFresh
I would fold the flop unless I plan on raising the turn

Turn is closer, I would still fold but a call probably isn't all that bad

River raise is spot on
Wingmaster05
Did you plan on bluffing the river if you missed? Turn seems like a great place to raise.
TheCinciKid
I think I like raising the turn or folding the flop. Not sure which I like better, might depend on the villain and whether he's able to fold.

If you think it's so unlikely that he has anything worse than a 9 as to not raise here, then you should also agree that folding would be best if you DIDNT make your higher straight.

no, i wouldn't do that because there is always random misclick factor

i'm just saying i wouldn't lead this river if i were playing the board

btw, some of you might be undercounting our outs on the turn. before discounting we have 3 queens, 3 nines, 4 eights and 2 treys.

....and 2 treys.

Villain had 3-3 ????

Only 2 outs because it's a split when one falls.

I forgot about the treys when originally counting our outs, I like a turn call with them factored in. I still think the flop is a fold though if you're not planning to raise the turn.

what is the question? there is no question here, raise is the only option

I might 3-bet preflop to try and take the lead against a passive player.
