All streets are open for critique, but I think I played this fairly well.

This is an interesting hand. I think you played it fine. At first I thought the turn call was debatable, but I guess any hand that has you in trouble (set or straight + higher flush draw) is raising the flop.
I think an alternative line is to go for the check-raise on the flop. This may have the benefit of cleaning up your outs by knocking out higher flush draws, whereas betting out and getting multiple callers gives someone with just the nut flush draw good odds. Still, I don't think this is necessarily any better than just betting out like you did.

being in position here would rule, but i probably play it the same.

OK, good. Just double-checking there. As it turned out, I was up against TT83 (no flush draw), who inexplicably called the flop with just a gutshot and an overpair, and then made top set on the turn. If I actually could have gotten a bet out of dravec here, then I guess C/Ring the flop might have cleaned up my outs, but I was really afraid that it would just check around until someone who had nothing made a hand.
I think turned top set is probably the hardest hand to defend against in Omaha because there's no possible way that you can put someone on it. I was basically counting the 6 as a clean out, because there was only one way to make 77, and that hand raises the flop about 80-90% of the time.

I would have if I were one or two seats off the button, but in this hand, I was
four seats off the button. I figured that in this case, at least one person after me would probably call, so I'd be simply building a big pot in a spot where I'd likely be out of position. Is this wrong?

Yeah, pretty much. Position and betability on later streets is critical in Omaha. IF you're going to limp this hand up front you pretty much have to be prepared to check/fold any flop where you don't flop a full wrap, the nuts with a club redraw, or quads.
In position you could be a little more creative with it.
good luck.
