Just thought this might be an interesting topic since DN's talked about doing poll questions for different games, and we haven't seen a new one for a while. I didn't include Limit O8, 7 stud hi-lo, or 2-7 single draw since we've already seen poll questions on those topics.

Snap - You flip over the Qs and place it on the top card which is the 7d. Your opponent, who you know to be highly skilful, quickly turns over the Qh. Should you
a ) yell 'snap' then slam your hand down
b ) slam your hand down then yell 'snap'
or c ) attempt a risky but potentially rewarding double play?

Clearly b- You need your hand down first- The words take a back seat to the action.

I see PLO8 is the most popular. Does DN even play that game? It's basically an internet game. I voted for PLO though.

I've been having too much fun playing PLO lately. It's to the point that I hardly even have the desire to play anything else. There are interesting decisions on every street, and there's a lot of depth there that most people don't even see.
PLO8 is just like the same game except 3/4 of your pretty hands are worthless because they don't have a stupid ace-low, and you have to fold them. I'm not even making an effort to get good at that game because it sucks.

I agree. There's way too much folding in that game. Then you make the nut low or nut high and you have to fold.

I believe DN played PLO almost exclusively while coming up in the poker world as a teen and probably has a huge background on this game. Since it isn't as popular as some of the other games I think getting some insight on his thoughts and some solid pointers to common fundamental leaks would be a great help to me, and probably others, who play PLO but feel a bit clueless from time to time.

I don't think so. I thought I remember him saying he grew up playing Stud Hi/Lo Regular. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I agree that Chinese poker is fun, and once you master the rules and have played a while, you can make money on beginners
For those interested on chinese poker and other asian games you can find rules on those web sites:

Why not LIMIT Omaha High. It is just a game I never ever see anyone playing, I just dont get how it could be more fun than PLO. PLO is so in depth with thinking on every street and millions of possibilities running through your head.
