It amazes me that GrinderMJ would defend a guy who calls a raise preflop in Omaha with [Qs 9s 2d 8c].... and that he would defend him against all logic, when said donk takes a 'bad beat'.
trying to keep him at the table?

Camcorders and Film. It's so amazing to me that we can capture a moment in time and replay it countless times. They've played such a significant role in studying past events and collecting infinite amounts of information that we can look back on. Think of 9/11. Numbers of people were there recording every minute, and now we can reflect on those images that were captured. Same thing can be said for any major event. It's mind boggling really. I mean, how did the process of inventing a camera go down? Using objects to create something that can act as an eye, and in turn stores information that can be developed or printed for one to view.
This thread is cool. Alot that has been said on here crosses my mind everyday. It's nice to know others have a sense of wonder and curiosity, when everyone around me seems so dull and so caught up in their lives that they don't take the time to think about what's around them.

that psychological trick you can play on yourself with simple repetition.
if you say a word too many times, it "sounds weird"
if you look at it or spell it for too long it "looks weird"
I agree. MAN I thought I was the only one!

I'm with Wang on the humor thing. Seriously, the more you think about why something is funny, and why people laugh, it gets real weird.

This is a cool thread... I'm also amazed by how easily everyone can relate to everyone else... and how we can all laugh at the same things, because those things relate to all of our lives the same way, even though we all grew up in different places and different situations, even different countries and different languages... it's pretty amazing.

1. The deck of cards is a pretty sweet invention. When you think of it, its a very bizarre idea...who first dreamed it up? But you can play an amazing variety of games with it, from WAR to bridge to poker, with such varying levels of stategy.
2. Mathmatics is pretty cool. The idea that we have invented these symbols + ways of manipulating them... and then these things can be used to predict things that occur in the real world, such as the results of a chemical equation, or landing a space probe on a distant planet.
3. The sheer complexity of life. Even a humble bacteria has much more complexity than our most complex machines.
4. Boobs
5. The sheer beauty of nature...and the fact that in the end we are powerless against it.

I guess in a way music amazes me. The fact that we have hundreds of different instruments that can all play the same notes, and sound good together in harmony is kinda amazing.
And I guess how everyone has their own distinct voice is kinda amazing too. And what's even more amazing is that people can change their voices to imitate others.
Man, what haven't we named in this thread?

I dunno, I get calls from different people at work, and it sounds like i'm talking to the same freaking people i talked to before. maybe it's the phones, but i do hear voices that sound freakishly similar.

I've always been amazed by this as well... but to take it a bit further... I've always been amazed how every year a new band or person comes up with a different song that is SO freaking awesome you can't believe that no other band or person had ever thought to put those 88 piano keys in that same order. Like "Shadow of the Sun" by AudioSlave or "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" by Green Day... amazing.

I have never talked to Cane once in my entire life. He is nto my friend, he's just another poster. You all flamed him for calling a MINRAISE in a 5 way pot. MIN RAISE 5 WAY POT, MIN RAISE 5 WAY POT. yes his hand is nto good, but was still capable of flopping a big hand and taking a big pot for a MIN RAISE. He's not stacking himself with that hand without a huge flop, which he found. you are just another annoying hideout retard, stay there
Dont bring this **** to my thread, I never said anything to you, get off my nuts

1) It wasn't a min raise
2) I obviously didn't think you guys were buddies living in the same town moron... of course he's a poster that you are friends with.
3) Playing crap in a 5 way pot in pot limit Omaha and then throwing more than $200 bucks away, in real money as it was a cash game, and calling it a 'bad beat' is stupid... and I'm gonna call him out everytime.
4) You definately said stuff to me, do you need me to post it? I, on the other hand, never said anything to you... I was talking to him... so get off MY nuts... and stay in the army where you belong.
ps... this is a good thread you started though.
http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...opic=59201&st=0Link to the thread so that anybody can see you are the only person being an a hole in that thread, especially on page 1. So he's playing 1/2 and a raise to 4.5 isn't a min raise, ok. I'm not even friends with cane on fcp, i have never talked to him once in my life, I pmed him abotu nl cash game advice once but that's it. you have followed this gayness into my thread, you are clearly on my nuts. I dont' post in the army thread. Are you correct about anything for real? Cane is a good player, and plays pot limit omaha well from what I've seen. I am able to give him credit for being able to navigate min raise multiway pots with weak hands. Maybe you all don't. You are just a retard who is wrong about like literally everything in this thread, just give it up. it's clear for anybody to see.

Sex is awesome. I'm always in awe of it when I get some.
AND
A chess board and it's pieces are extremely unique. The millions upon millions of different situations that can play out on those 64 squares is unbelievable. It tests the human mind and competes with the intellegence of others. How did we come up with that game? Oh and yes a deck of cards is awesome as someone stated in an earlier post.

I'm gonna go with how tastes vary so differently from person to person. Me personally, I cant stand mushrooms, the taste, texture anything about them, but I know plenty of people that love the damned things. For people only being able to taste salty, sweet, bitter, and (i forget the fourth, but i think its) sour all the different things that you eat and like I think that is awe inspiring.

Well it's still pretty amazing. Every time I see one in slow motion, I'm amazed. It's also amazing that throwing a ball with no spin causes it to move in such an unpredictable way.
