yeah thats cool.
like you draw the bow and it goes from the controller to the tv?? not that hard to do but it is a pretty cool feature, but again fairly simple

Star Wars Racer Revenge is about to put me on tilt. There seems to be a glitch in the disc that makes it so I can't unlock a character. If I can't unlock that character, it's a pain the arse the unlock the rest.

How is the FIFA game?

Borrowed We Heart Katamari from a friend not too long ago. I can see why he didn't like it, but I enjoy that it's bigger than the original. I was worried that it being more "mission-oriented" would ruin the fun, but most of them are engaging (I still freaking hate the cow-bear level).

Also, Guitar Hero 2 and Wii come out soon...so lots to look forward to.

Oh, and on PC, I've been playing LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth 2. I'm not particularly a LOTR/fantasy fan, but I'm a sucker for RTS games, so I've enjoyed it. I especially like the mode where it combines a Risk-style map (world/region overview) and then allows you to auto-resolve or go in and fight the actual battles.

I got a DS a few months back and love it. I am currently playing Final Fantasy I. It's a GBA game but the DS plays both DS and GBA games. I found it funny that there was a gravestone in the game that read "Here lies Link". I am a huge Zelda fan and can't wait for the Wii.

Earthbound, all on SNES.

I regret never finishing that game. I've never been a huge fan of the turn-based RPGs though.

(beginfanboyrant) OMG, Earthbound is my favorite game, not just of SNES, but pretty much of all time. I just love the quirkyness that the game has, the originality, just pretty much everything. I encourage every RPG fan to buy it (If you can find it, good luck) or DL it. It's definitely worth it. (/fanboyrant)

The new Mother 3 is out in Japan, I think, for Game Boy Advance. I'll look for an emulator.

I borrowed Far Cry from my roommate and it's a pretty fun game. My lap top runs it pretty well. It looks georgous. They game is insanely hard. I suggest it to anyone who likes a challenging fps.

Yes, I know I'm a ****ing nerd for playing this, but it's fun. I don't play nearly as much as I used to, since school is getting rough.

When you play as Stewie it's a platformer, when you play as Peter it's a fighting game, and when you play as Brian it's a stealth game. With minigames thrown in each. The jokes are worth it. Hilarious.

Yeah, I still have that for my SNES which, I think, still works.

Did anyone get Final Fantasy XII?

Final Fantasy XII Review for the Interested

So I got to sit down and play FF12 for about 3 hrs last night. So far it is so so. As with most RPG's the beginning is a little tedious and boring. Getting to know your surroundings and doing meaningless tasks.

Still the same feel of other FF's. Opening movies are freaking amazing.

Instead of materia, or the grid from X, you have licenses. You get LP points for fighting monsters and you can use those points to get licenses to equip certain weapons/armor/accessories and tecknicks and magicks. So you could go to a magic show and buy Thunder but if you don't have the Thunder license you will not be able to use it. Still to early to get a feel for how it will work at this point.

The battle system is completely brand new and I have yet to decide if I like it. No more random battles, which is a plus. You can see all the enemies on the field and can avoid them or fight them. You have free movement during battle. You select what you want to do and then you do it until the enemy is dead or you want to do something else. I mainly have been by myself. I had one other person for a bit so I didn't get to see who it works with a full party. Looks as if I can't totally control them as in the past but don't quote me on that just yet.

If you have played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance then a lot will be familiar. This is done on the same place, Invalice(sp?) and you join a guild and do work for them. You find posts on boards around town of monsters people want killed. You take the post, find the poster, and make a deal. You get points that increase your guild rank and I guess it comes in handy eventually. Still too early.

I suggest leveling up early and often. I should have heeded the warning that said something to the effect of "it is recommended that you save on a new file as you may never get past this point and not be able to return to town" LOL

It's pretty cool though.
zimmer4141
Dammit, I have an exam on Wednesday, but Gears of War comes out on Tuesday and this game looks cool as hell. This looks like it could be as good, if not better than Halo.
rocketpoker828
My brother bought FFXII yesterday, and now his PS2 is broken. Not from the game.

Sucks to be him.

Playing FFIII (VI) now, awesome game.

World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike for me

I can't really play any of the newer pc games until I get a new one. Any ounce of chopiness bugs me so I prefer not to try new games that demand a lot from graphics cards sad.gif

I've been buying quite a few games lately...

PS2: Bully, Family Guy, Tales of the Abyss.
DS: Clubhouse Games, Contact
PC: NWN2

Bully: Great use of the GTA engine in a slightly different environment, highly recommended if you enjoy the free roaming games like GTA/Saints Row.

Tales of the Abyss: If you like RPG's, this is better than most the recent FF games.

Clubhouse Games: Fun time waster for DS, its something like 50 games in 1.

NWN2: if you liked NWN1 its more of the same though it seem fairly resource intensive and there are problems getting patches out right now. I'd hold off a week or two on buying this until Obsidian sorts out the mess.

Family Guy & Contact: haven't' played them yet.

Have my Wii preordered, not that interested in a PS3 yet except for ebay purposes so I may try and grab one or two.

How did y'all end up liking the Family Guy game? I played the Simpson demo recently and found it pretty well-done.

Brawl should be fun (I assume that's what you're referring to. If not, ignore)

FFX: I need to get off my ass and finish the Monster Arena. It's been incomplete for 5+ years.
Kaveros
I am really looking forward to GTA IV.
Very exciting.

At the moment I am going through Resistance: Fall of Man, Baldurs Gate II: Throne of Bhaal (playing a Kensai Mage),
and GTA San Andreas.
CobaltBlue
I've discussed it elsewhere, but the past few months, I've seriously played Super Mario Galaxy, Rock Band, and Burnout Paradise.

I don't think I mentioned it before, but Portal (on Orange Box) is a pretty cool little game. Oh, and Motorstorm (which came with my PS3) is decent also.

Yeah, was referring to Brawl. It'll probably be the only game I can get my girlfriend to play (other than Wii Bowling.)

BTW, if you're a FF nerd (like me,) check out the FF retrospective on gametrailers. It's pretty sick.

I've mainly been playing COD4, Mass Effect, and NHL 08.

COD4 is the best FPS I've ever played.

Mass Effect is maybe the best game I've ever played.

NHL 08 is one of the best sports titles I've played.
Asimo
COD4... AINEC
MNBassin
COD4 I usually hate first person shooters....but this one is addicting. all the leveling involved. yes I suck at the game 0.60 kill ratio but I love it
tj9422-
Guild Wars!
Fleur
Old school games:
- Dungeon Keeper ( 1 & 2)
- C&C (enjoy Generals and Tiberium Wars a lot)

Latest game I'm playing is Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles. just mindless shooting really, but very entertaining.
SBriand
Sadly I am playing a a few games.

Wife and I are jamming or shall I say ROCKING our way through Rock Band World Tour.

I have been playing Oblivion the last 3 days after pretty much playing CoD4 every minute I could. I suspect I will be back on CoD4 soon.
