Come on dude, no need to be bitter.
will you stop bitching about this? this is a real rivalry, and this was a game that was worth puting on tv. damon returned to fenway tonite, and its the first sox yanks game of the year.
i dont complain when dodgers-giants or cubs-cards is on. why are you bitching about this?
I don't mind it being on TV some.....but it is the ENTIRE FOCUS OF EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD EVERY SINGLE DAY THAT THEY PLAY.
Seriously, if the Royals were on ESPN and took up most of every Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight and radio show and everything else every single time they played the Tigers every year....trust me, you'd get sick of it too.
Also, you'll notice I said I wasn't insulting any particular teams or their fans..just ESPN for shoving it down everyone's throat.

1 - the Indians are better than I gave them credit for in our early-season discussions
2 - this is not a "who is better" argument of AL Central against AL East
but the yankees/red sox is a bigger deal. they are bigger stars, and most people would agree that the yankees and red sox have a better chance of winning the world series than the white sox or indians. the white sox may have the best chance, but the indians have the worst. not the worst team in there, just probably the worst chance to win, in large part because they won't spend $50 million at the deadline if need be.
more importantly, there is a serious world series contender playing tonight, and troy glaus just gave us a 3-run lead
I understand that the Yanks/Sox have "bigger stars," and that they are going to be on TV, but they don't need to be shoved down our throat NEARLY as much as they are.
Also.....just because a team spends $50 million at the deadline doesn't mean the Yanks or Sox have a better chance to win......the Indians have the BEST chance of ANY of those teams to win the World Series...just watch...their pitching is just going to keep on getting better all year...and they will be able to work some deals come the trading deadline as well...the Yanks aren't going to be able to do enough to make their pitching staff "good," this year...they have a TON of question marks in terms of pitching..and they have a lot of old guys who are going to break down as the season wears on...they have the worst chance to win the World Series.
