Full Version: Brian Fidler, Daniel's New Protege
FCP Poker Forum > Archives > Daniel Negreanu's Poker Protege
FCP Bob
Congratulations to Brian Fidler of Derby Connecticut who was crowned Daniel's Protege in the early morning hours on Monday May 1st after a long and gruelling battle.

He played hard and his aggressive style took him heads up against Saskatchewan's Sol Bergren, the Seat #5 Higher Roller Winner. Brian continued to pound the pot and eventually was crowned Daniel Negreanu's first-ever Poker Protege.

His grand prize package includes priceless one on one instruction from Kid Poker himself, four (4) $10,000 buy-in poker tournaments, special access to communicate with Daniel about poker strategy, and much more.

Way to go Brian. We will watch to see how you turn out, cheering when you win and making fun of you in the forums when you lose!!

Congrats Brian!! icon_clap.gif

It was very intersting to watch, but the long breaks in between had me pulling my hair out mad.gif !!

But it was all worth it!! icon_biggrin.gif

Congrats to Brian, (who ever you are). icon_biggrin.gif

You played great and deserved to win. Nice job.

A few suggestions for the next Protoge.

Have at least 4 of the F T seats up for grabs via...

FCP forum seat 1. Voting. Have the regular forum posters vote for whom they think is the best player. Top vote getter gets a seat. Simple.

FCP forum seat 2. Have the remaining of the top 100 vote getters play for the seat via a free roll.

FCP forum seat 3. This seat is awarded via a charter member only tourney.

FCP forum seat 4. Everyone/Anyone who is a forum member before July 1st 2006 plays a large tournament that eventually plays down to one winner, period.

Seats 5 thru 10 will be won as they were in the first Protoge.

Just preliminary suggestions/opinions to get the ball rolling. Please add/modify/flame/ etc.

Give one seat to PPsux- j/k

What about more seats? A 20 man final??/

That opens up more options for determining a winner.

I like Seat 4, but make it everyone who joined before Dec 31st, 2005

Maybe we could have a freeroll for only those forum members with a superfluous nipple with the winner being awarded a seat.

How about a 10k posts only freerroll?

What happened to Brian F? Why is he not Danielson's protege?
Canuckickstan
His rein is up and now it's on to contest # 2. He must give up his crown.

Like you wouldn't be? biggrin.gif

FYI....won my $250 heads up match vs. a Red Hot Poker Tour champion on Saturday..moving my heads up match record to 4-0 ($7,250) since becoming Protege...not bad teachings Daniel...not bad at all....
