Beane is a genius in a mad scientist sort of way, no doubt.
Beane is awsome but not infallible.
May I present this year's exhibit - Loaiza...it actually helps the A's if he doesn't pitch at this point.
I did see a funny comment where someone suggested Beane should trade him to the Royals for Greinke as Baird would be the one GM who would actually seriously consider the offer.

I know this is a joke....but Baird wouldn't trade Grienke for ANY player in baseball......Baird is absolutely in love with him....it's kinda wierd.
