I personally thought I was beat on the flop but still called with 1 second left in my time bank. Thinking "this is stupid" in my mind.

Villian might have 66, 77 or 99 flopping a set. He might less likely also have KK or AA. Doubtful that he has AK, can't see a rock raising with A high.
I would put him on a set and lay it down on the flop. One other possibility is the rock has A9. Any which way you are beat. You can only beat JJ and 10 10. Against a rock who pushes I instafold in this case.

at best you're against a very strong draw, if you say hez a rock.

The question here is why call the flop? If you think you're beat here no point in peeling.

Anyone else see A8 clubs as a possibility?

I think rock would just smooth call the flop with A8. I'm assuming also low aggression factor?

I think a even a rock knows when hes a favorite over basically every hand he can put Jordan on.

Honestly fold to the flop reraise and since you didn't don't even consider calling the turn all in.

I'm not sure how everyone advocates just flat folding to the flop raise. I mean, aren't there a bunch of hands a rock raises with here we have beat?

I think the correct play is to get a reraise in, and fold to an all in if it comes. Unfortunately villian's raise of you is so big (pot sized) that at best you can min raise him after that given the stack sizes, and still be able to fold.

But I don't think you can just drop an overpair to a rock because he raises you. You could be betting that flop with AK and he knows that.

Also, A8? Does a rock really call pf raises with A8?

I thought, if I had him beat, it was if he was holding Ac Kc...and since I had Qc I'd be a small favorite.

I half called outta frustration (I had QQ cracked by a real loose/passive player earlier) and so I wanted to see if a blank fell on the turn...but I still think I should have folded the flop cause I put him more likely on a set than AKs.

HERO bets [$8].
Villian raises [$25].
BB folds.
HERO calls [$17].

Then punches himself in the balls to learn not to do that.

Calling is the absolute worst thing you can do. Make a read. If you think you're ahead, move in, if you think you're behind, fold.

This isn't a hard flop to play after he raises. Make a decision. If you have no idea fold.

It's just QQ.

good luck.

Well he doesn't re raise pre flop so I think he want's to see it for some reason rather than get in a pissing match with you

Not sure what you were hoping to see on the turn with that call, but that's a pretty big raise to try and hump a queen, I think you have to decide there if you are gonna play or not and push or get out of the way after the flop raise

AKc?
