1/2 NL online (since people tend to not be able to tell on my posts)

3 limpers to button who raises to 8. I call in SB with 10 icon_suit_spade.gif 9 icon_suit_spade.gif and 2 limpers call.

Button $220ish (very aggressive in LP, but he's an overall donk.)
I have him covered
Flop 5 handed, $45ish

10 icon_suit_diamond.gif j icon_suit_spade.gif q icon_suit_spade.gif

I contemplate leading (maybe a mistake.. I check), checks to button who bets $35, on me.... kids?

Wow I had a hand just like this today where I flopped the small straight and villian flopped OESD w/ top pair (u have bottom but its similar). He never pushed he just called pot sized bets all the way and never caught.

If he woulda pushed I would folded.

But your case it may be diff. Range of hands on button would help.

Even a donk flops the nuts (although his bet leads me think he didn't) KK a possibility?

I think its 50/50 push / call

AXo, K6+o, qj, 22+

Before I posted results (because this post is more about the results than anything), anyone worried that we're drawing to the *** end of thi str8 and that 3 of our outs may be dirty?,
gooch
I figure he would have raised more pre flop with AK and that is what you are really worried about I guess, unless he is Axs and then you have gotta hit the up and down without a spade or hope he hasn't caught any of that flop at all

Yeah, well I pushed, I improved to a k high str8 and won the pot. The exceedingly bizaarre thing was that villain called me with 66 cause he was "sure I was bluffing"... he was right i guess.

Smash Strat 2:

1/2

3 limpers , check with a icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_heart.gif in BB

Flop
A icon_suit_club.gif 10 icon_suit_heart.gif j icon_suit_heart.gif

I bet $15, CO min raises to $30. I call. (CO is pretty solid, I know he has a good piece of this and he's not folding)

Turn
k icon_suit_spade.gif
I check, he checks,

River Q icon_suit_heart.gif

I open push???

comment on the flop too. I felt kinda ill that I just called here.

Well it was more of a semi bluff than a total bluff, you did have a lot of outs on it to a very strong hand, and some to a medium depending on how much of the flop he may have caught.

Second play, you both pretty much defined your hands after he raised your flop bet, you on a weak ace and him maybe the same?

He may pay you off on a push thinking you are trying to steal, can't hurt, I guess, depends on how much your stacks are

If I'm not mistaking, it looks like you opened on the flop for $15 into an $8 pot, yes? Why so much? Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with just calling his raise on the flop. You say he's a solid tight player, you've got to give him credit for a hand better than A8. As for the river, the push IMHO depends on stack sizes here. By the river, there's $68 in the pot... I think an overbet is a nice play, and depending on stack sizes, that might just mean all-in.

I wouldn't think he would put it all in, but you never know till you try, half the pot and he might make a crying call

I think either a push or a pot-sized bet would be good here depending on stack sizes. A lot of low-limit players hate folding in this situation, even playing the board. Actually, come to think of it, his play here's pretty consistent with a flush draw. If he has that, you definitely want to get a lot of money in the pot here. Unless, the stacks are obscenely high, a push sounds excellent here.
Scott3705
Yeah, I got a fold from part 2.
