I don't like the cap. Should call the 3-bet and pray that you hit your flush because that's probably your only ticket to winning this pot.

yeah, I'm not fond of the cap.
we'd like BB to be there for the flush.
given the board texture/betting our hand is trailing and often two pair is no good
plus, we can c/r better by just calling the 3 bet.
I think this hand should get more discussion though, as it's close.
Ok a board of KJ2 I like the cap.

when i capped it i immediately thought it was a mistake. i thought about it for a while though and started thinking it might be pretty close.
lets assume one villain flopped a straight (Q9 as there was no raise pre-flop) and put the other on some possible hands that would raise or 3-bet this flop - KJ, KT, JT, KQ, TT
running it through poker stove i got the following:
against a str8 and KJ our equity is 35.6%
against a str8 and KT our equity is 35.8%
against a str8 and JT our equity is 36.0%
against a str8 and KQ our equity is 39.5%
against a srt8 and TT our equity is 31.3%
all these stats are based on no one holding one of our spade outs. i believe if someone is holding one of our spades those percentages drop about 2%.
so i think its probably close but i agree with Actuary that this board is probably a little too co-ordinated to push this hard.
btw, im real lame at math so there is a good chance that this is all wrong.

I don't like it either...unraised pot and its two back to you. call and hope the flush comes.
are we c/calling down if a 3 hits? fold if two back to us on the river.
