He told her he killed the dude. She didn't say anything.

Actually

She said things like "I love you no matter what" "We can work this out together" "If you don't want to tell you don't have to but I'm here for you" etc
He thought about it for a sec, and looked seriously crushed, took her hand for strength, looked away from her, and said "You know, we lose patients all the time.... But one day, one of those patients, we didn't lose... Dubulla... I killed him"
She sat stunned for a beat, then leaned away from him just a little touch and just gave the smallest little tug to pull her hand back from him into her lap.

It was really well done. I'm so happy that the original Fellows are back. (Although I miss seeing that ass on Kumar Thirteen)

Who's that guy who's with Cuddy now? I don't remember his character, what's the story there?

Thanks, I gathered that tiny snippet from the part in the show where Cuddy said he was a private investigator and it was made clear that he'd been in the show before since all the characters knew him.
speedz99
Lucas Douglas (Michael Weston) is a private investigator. He is hired by House in the fifth season episode "Not Cancer" to spy on House's team and gain information about them. Among other things, he finds out about a secret bank account started up by Taub's wife of which Taub is unaware. Impressed by his thorough efforts, House decides to put Lucas "on retainer".

Next, in "Adverse Events", House uses Lucas to gain information about Cuddy's personal life. Lucas, though, had also begun to take a romantic interest in Cuddy. In "Lucky Thirteen", House uses him to spy on Wilson because he suspects he was lying about where he was one morning. Lucas finds out that he's dating a hooker and that he's doing drugs. House then figures out Wilson was trying to throw him off because he knew Lucas was following him. It is also revealed that Lucas got the keys to all of his fellows' houses. House also used him to dig up info about Foreman, but couldn't find anything interesting.

He's very House-like. He is almost like an impersonation of House. Which helps explain why Cuddy (and House) liked him.

Totally House-like. Except he's generally happy. And not a complete dick to people. And somewhat considerate because he has a developed sense of empathy.

So...he's kind of not like House at all, except he's smart and witty. And goes for the two-day-beard look.

still don't totally buy Cuddy falling for him, an every man. She looked hot when House came into her office, low-cut pink top, tight skirt as always. I think I need to go back to her stripper dancing on the bus during House's flashback.

An every man? He's a sweet private detective that's smart, funny, and faux-bearded. He's special.

I have been watching some re-runs of West Wing season 1 (where Cuddy plays a high class call girl). She kinda seems hotter now than back then.

no question she is hotter now. Maybe it is just the tight skirts and the boobs but I find her much more attractive now.

I don't buy it. Chase killed the guy after he admitted that he was planning on killing hundreds of thousands of people. Nobody's dumb enough to think that's anything but a good move. Boo.
runthemover
you realize you're talking about a woman, right?

also this "woman"'s name is Allison Cameron. Her middle name better be Ryan to complete the three first names which are also unisex. this doesn't quite relate to what we're talking about but let us pretend that it does and also that it's so destructive that now we'll watch you try and fail to come back with a response

shouldn't Wilson be a little more caring that House broke up Bob and Ally?

I still enjoy this show each week but I'm not sure how strong this ongoing storyline is
nutzzcase
Too many characters ffs...I hope they all die except for House, Wilson, Cuddy and Cuddy's boyfriend.

Bravo, 8am-10am M-F.

And I never watched Ally McBeal.

The Cameron/Chase storyline officially lost me this week. I just dont care anymore.

I'm ready for a search for new fellows again.
SBriand
I never liked Cameron, the actress or the character. So if this means she is bye bye then this means I like the show just a little bit better.

But my opinion is this, this show was awesome it's first two seasons when it dealt less with some huge ongoing storyline and did more of the disease of the week formula. Most of the storylines in this show just ruin what was originally good about the show. And normally I don't like shows that run the same formula week after week but this one did it so well it never bothered me.

It all went downhill when they created the cop storyline a few seasons back. God that was horrible.
speedz99
The first weak storyline was the new hospital CEO.

I think that next week they'll be mostly back to just working on the case...with House vs Cuddy/OtherGuy the one main running storyline. I'm ok with that.
LadyGrey
Not a good episode. Chase/Cameron break-up was stupid, Thirteen/Foreman drama is so boring now, Taub is a boring character so I don't want him back, and Cuddy's new boyfriend is super disappointing after I was told he was similar to House. I found him really annoying, not sure if it was the script or his acting but his lines sounded really scripted and unnatural.

Bring back Kutner!

Plus a new round of fellows would make things interesting again.

oddly i like the soap stuff and Chi McBride and David Morse storylines - I actually get bored during the weekly cases

I could usually care less about the case of the week - I just want to see House interact badly with people
Ron_Mexico
I think they pushed House's douchiness too far this week, leaving no room for him having some sort of redeeming quality. This episode he was just a manipulative monster. We need to see some sort of light. I wish Wilson would grow a backbone with him, tell him to buy his own lunch, kick him out and close him off again.

They seem to have completely moved away from the fact that he was in a mental hospital and made a major breakthrough in therapy.

I think they're running the "this patient reminds House of himself"/"this patient is throwing his/her gift away for the sake of happiness" themes into the ground just a bit.

My favourite was the chick who was all "Yeah, I could cure cancer if I wanted to... but I DON'T".

I liked the bit at the end where Taub pretended to have punched House.
