like the title says, i hit my money card on the turn, but the river paired the board for the second time. (.25/.50 limit)

Preflop

socdave03 is dealt card_clubs_a.gif card_clubs_8.gif in the small blind

3 folds, one limper, 3 folds, socdave03 calls, STINGRAYZ checks

Flop

card_clubs_10.gif card_clubs_6.gif card_spades_4.gif

socdave03 bets .25, STINGRAYZ raises to .50, limper folds, socdave03 calls .25

Turn

card_clubs_4.gif

socdave03 bets .50, STINGRAYZ calls .50

River

card_hearts_6.gif

socdave03 checks, STINGRAYZ bets .50, socdave03 calls .50

my read is that STINGRAYZ is a loose player, but thats about all i know

I c/r the turn. The way you played it though, I c/c the river. By checking on the river, you can induce a bet from A high, a T, and many PP's. Conversely, if you bet many of these hands will call you, but you will get raised by 6x.

Come to think of it though, players at .25/.5 play pretty straightforward. You could probably bet/fold too, since I dont think they'd raise you on the end with A high.

What about just c/c the flop, as there are only 2 other players making this not a big equity edge if any? Or is the bet here also good as it buys us more outs/ fold equity? Perhaps I just answered my own question...

those cards are hard for me to read.

I second this

bet the flop. c/r turn.

i probably bet/call river, unless this guy often raises flops with middle pair.
