like the title says, i played the hand aggressive all the way, and when the river card hit, i played like a little girl (this is at .25/.50 limit)

Preflop

im dealt card_spades_a.gif card_clubs_a.gif UTG+2

2 folds, socdave03 raises to .50, 6 folds, rollinD raises to .75, socdave raises to 1, rollinD calls

at this point im assuming he has at least QQ, probably KK, although he has been known to be aggressive, so im not ruling out AKs, although that is a long shot

Flop

card_diamonds_7.gif card_spades_2.gif card_spades_10.gif

rollinD bets .25, socdave03 raises to .50, rollinD raises to .75, socdave03 raises to 1, rollinD calls

is this standard, or should i be slowing down to the reraise fearing a set?

Turn

card_hearts_8.gif

rollinD bets .50, socdave03 raises to 1, rollingD raises to 1.50, socdave03 raises to 2, rollinD calls

i was a little scared here when he still reraised me after i showed so much strength on the flop, i was thinking a set of 10's

River

card_clubs_4.gif

rollinD bets .50, socdave03 calls icon_doh.gif

i got scared here thinking he had a set of 10's. Should I have raised him, or has he shown enough strength for me to slow down?

Personally, I just call the flop 3 bet and raise the turn. I would then call down if he 3 bets the turn

As played, just calling river is good.
I think the turn was a spew against most players.

calling the flop 3-bet and raising the turn is an option against guys who might slow down. i don't like to do it without a read.

the turn cap might be a spew. if you're pretty certain his 3-bet range is very tight (JJ-AA), then its fine.

river is correct.

the most important parts are preflop, raising the flop, and just calling the river. good job.

what is your reasoning for only calling the 3 bet on the flop? (not trying to say its wrong, i just really dont know your reasoning, are we really behind this often that we should try to save the one bet?)

Danny,

most palyers don't lead the turn into a preflop and flop capper.
IMO, the default is to assume he slows down if we cap flop.

And, HU villan 3-bet preflop..Hero doesn't have a strong read, jsut a hunch.
I'm sure TT is in that range

I mean, look, villan is going crazy with something.

No, generally opponents will slow down if you cap. So I want him to bet into you again on the turn, when you can rasie the big streets
You are ahead a lot here.
Once he 3-bets the turn, you are either behind or your read is off..or incomplet, at least.
socdave01
ah ok, when you posted to just call the 3bet i was thinking that. at the time i was just assuming that the villain would be aggressive the whole way, because preflop and on the flop he gave absolutely no thought to just calling. it was as if as soon as i raised, he was reraising me. I guess I just found an extremely aggressive opponent, but in most cases i can see how calling the flop 3 bet wins me more. Ill just say that part of my read was right, and part was wrong lol

personally, I think you're splitting. maybe a crazy KK.
I also like calling the flop 3-bet and raising the turn, but I think I still cap the turn if he 3-bets. you're only behind one hand (well, maybe 3 if he'd cap 77 or 88 )

villan did not cap.
But, yeah, he 3-bet, and TT, maybe 77 really only realistic hand.

alright everyones advice makes sense to me. just to let you all know, villain showed QQ and i took a nice pot (yeah i dont understand his play either)

He had an overpair on .25/.50. I've seen people jam at that level with top pair, garbage kicker.
