I'm afraid of A higher kicker but frankly I just wanna call him down to see what he has. Since he checked the turn, should I have just bet to the river?

Looks to me like he has Kings or Queens or something like that... I'd bet.
I'd also fold preflop though.

Check because of the flush draw. With no spades out there his check tells you he's afraid of the ace and it's a pretty easy bet but his check on the turn when the flush hits isn't enough to make this a value bet.

Weak.
You need to value bet that.
He's almost always going to be showing this down, and you more often than not have him beat when he is calling. People who raise out of the blinds with AK or AQ arent generally the type to check/call TPTK just because a draw hits. This is more often a pair below an A than it is a strong ace.
And you can safely fold to a checkraise.

Insanely easy value bet. He has KK-JJ a ton. Its pretty unlikely unless hes unbeliavably passive that hes checking the turn with Ax.

Give him a chance to make a mistake. Bet the river. You can fold to a check/raise unless he's a moron.

I would have folded preflop. Ace + weak kicker gives me nothing but trouble.
That being said, bet the river.
