Aces up. Looking to check/call river against potential trips from seat three. I dont know really. Did you end up seeing his hand or was it bad and he mucked?

Ok, i looked at it more and AA is definitely a possibility. I hadn't noticed his raises on 6th. I'm still going to say Aces up, but AA is not out of the question, in which case he would be looking to check/raise the river... sneaky koop.

I had JJ in the hole and won a nice pot by cracking No Neck's rolled up 4s. I'd been running pretty atrocious up to that point...so I was due for a little luck. Other two players were donks, so that's why I was so aggressive with my JJ..as I thought it was likely the best hand, and I was trying to isolate against the 3 3 board....as I had a 3 on my board and didn't think he had the case 3 under (which he did end up having). Luckily..no one filled up and I took a nice pot by sucking out on 'No Neck.' Didn't put him on rolled up trips until he reraised on fourth street, at which point I figured it was a decent possibility...so I just decided to call one more bet and hope to spike a J on fifth street..which I did.

Overall..I ended up 10 dollars (which tells you how bad I was running that I only won 10 dollars despite that huge huge 68 dollar pot....lol).

Wow, neck had rolled up 4s and that other guy had trip 3s... JJ in the hole... good hand.

Comments on the river from both of you. NoNeck, I figure you were thinking trip 4s no good there. Would you have called a bet?

By the river..I pretty much knew I was up against trip 4s, and since I didn't pair up, I was just going to check/call...was worried about him filling up or someone else making a flush or something crazy...since they were both donks.

With all the action I was pretty sure I wasn't up against 2 pair, the way Koop played it I had him on AA though JJ or 888 but He was taking an awful beating so I on the river. So I thought he might just be getting super aggressive to try to avoid a suck out. As the hand played out though I changed because I don't think he would think I would get agressive with two pair, and he is betting betting so he must have that beat.

There is no way I am not going to showdown here. The pot had 34 bets in it. I will not fold with three of a kind.

LOL when the 3 fell for seat 3 I knew he had trips and I though Koop had a high pair..... I was drooling at the though of taking it down.

The funny part about all of this was that seat 7 had 8822 for a small two pair, and stuck around.

I didn't put Seat 3 on trip 3's because I caught a 3 on that same street as well...so I put him on a big/medium pair under or nothing...

I'm not gonna start a new thread for this...but you know you are running EXTREMELY terrible when during a five hour session, the number of times you have trips on 4th street beaten by a gutshot straight draw on the river is MORE than the total amount of hands won.

Second to last hand I played. Dealt rolled up Aces. Lots of action. I love it..but I've got a horrible feeling because...well because I'm running unimaginably bad.

I swear to god I am due for a MONSTER rush of cards at some point...this is starting to get pretty rediculous. I know what running bad's all about...but going literally two hours between winning a hand and having consecutive hands such as the above and all this happening night after night after night is just starting to be a bit surreal.

Koop, bro, I don't know what to tell you. The deck is a cold hearted whore. Keep fighting and I know I don't need to tell you to stay on your game and not let the bad beats and cold deck **** with your game.

P.S. If you want I'll run the odds of the assclown hitting runner runner runner straight flush... while you hold quad aces. Thne I'll run the odds of the guy hitting quad eights while you have aces full. Then I'll put them together and we'll have 1 in one bratillion (lots of digits).

I know it'll turn around..I just wanted to type it all out and vent a little bit...figure that's a lot better than tilting money away...lol.

Oh, and yes...those back-to-back stone cold coolers were flat our unimaginably horrid.....just surreal. Still in shock that two hands such as that can even happen in the same session..much less back to back. Needless to say, I was done with Stud for the night.

I know there aren't that many stud jackpots nowadays, but I bet that could have won you a ****load somewhere if there's a jackpot for say quad jacks or better. Even at 1/2, that would have to be worth tens of thousands. I mean, that just never happens.

I've said many times that Stud is more of a lesson in card catching than a game of skill. Koop's results speak for themselves, but my own personal statistics rival those (just not to the degree of getting quads beaten).

Variance blows...

Stud is definitely a drawing game....and when you don't get the cards......variance can really whip your ***. It's not that I'm losing SOOOO much money from it, because I am mostly folding....it is just so boring to fold forty hands in a row and to miss every single flush draw..and blah blah blah...whatever, I think it is maybe starting to turn around now..hopefully I hit rock bottom and now I'm on my way up.

Yeah... what limits are you playing koop? What is the ante structure? Low I imagine if the antes aren't killing you as you fold fold fold... let me know

As long as we're comlaining, Stud is going well, but I haven't flopped a set in LHE with my last 17 pp's... no joke...

As I'm typing I have 77 in LP... no set... scary board... crazy donks... fold

I play 1/2 on PStars...and it is only a .10 cent ante, so it doesn't cost much to fold over and over. It isn't really that I "never" get a playable hand, it is just that I could literally not ONCE hit a flush draw in like, 20 tries and I'd start with concealed Aces and three people would pair their door cards, or I'd make a eight high straight after five and by the river someone else made a gutshot J high straight...just constant horrible luck.

I think things are turning around now though...I hope.

My past 600+ Stud hands...4 hands won total, total amount of those four pots combined is $13.60, and 0 showdowns won.


This is starting to get pretty unbelievable......I am on THE worst run ever. I LITERALLY cannot win a pot. Just can't do it. Have had quads beaten by higher quads again tonight, as well as getting whacked by gutshots on the river probably 25 times..........I literally just have no chance to win whatsoever.

I firmly believe that it is not your play that is causing this freak-occurance, it is the nature of low-limit Stud. I hate it with a passion...

Oh yeah, you're right....I'm playing well..maybe not perfect but pretty well...but I just LITERALLY CAN NOT win a decent pot.
