Cobalt $534
Button $630

Cobalt is MP3 w/ J icon_suit_diamond.gif T icon_suit_diamond.gif. Table is loose-passive pre-flop. Villain is LAG and frequently gets out of line. He min-raises any rag ace pre-flop...in addition to KQo. Haven't seen him make a larger pre-flop bet. Afterwards, on the flop, he typically makes a mediumish bet when checked to (1/3 to 1/2 the pot). If checked to again on the turn, he typically pots it (even if he's completely whiffed with his ace-rag). Earlier he'd gotten to showdown after limping with Q6o in EP.

Pre-flop:
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, Cobalt calls, CO calls, Button raises to $8, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls, Cobalt calls, CO calls

Flop ($42): 3 icon_suit_diamond.gif 4 icon_suit_diamond.gif 7 icon_suit_diamond.gif (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, Cobalt checks, CO checks, Button bets $28, 1 fold, Cobalt calls, 1 fold

Turn ($98): 7 icon_suit_club.gif (2 players)
Button bets $65, Cobalt raises to $172, Button goes all-in, Cobalt calls $325

River ($1,090): 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif (2 players)

Final Pot: $1,090

Now I typically hate "slowplaying" non-nut flushes. That approach often runs into trouble. If a diamond pops off on the turn, it either stomps you or kills or action. However, my read was that there's no way this guy is going to check the flop or turn. By his larger than normal bet on the flop, my read is that he's got an overpair (and/or big diamond). I don't think he'd bet that much with a flopped set, flush, or complete bluff.

You played it perfectly in my eyes

I'd say set is the most logical hand for him to have.

I think you're supposed to raise it to at least 80 on the flop. Once the turn hits, you make it 120, and if he moves in, you fold. If he moves in on the flop you call, but I dont think that's gonna happen.

Most "logical", but not most likely given this opponent.

even this kind of opponent can catch cards??? just kidding

by your desciption of the player, wouldn't rule out like A4,8 of diamonds or having just ace-rag that paired the board with the ace being a diamond... A3, A4 or A7.

Fortunately, villain had As7s and didn't have the flush redraw that I expected. Biggest pot I've ever won at 2/4.
