I would definitely be down with a second contest - missed my chance for the first

there will be. the highest place for an FCP registrant in the ongame classic is guaranteed a seat at it.

There definately will be a Protege 2.

We're going to take a breather, let the first one be completed and see what lessons we've learned and then start the qualification for the next Protege.

I wouldn't anticipate that happening for a little while but of course we'll let everybody know as soon as we've finalized the plans.

2bthebest... way off topic here... There is a local brewry in VT "Magic Hat", and they always print crazy sayings under the cap... I once got one that read "to be the best you must lose your mind." So whenever you post I think of that, and smile...

Season 6 of redhotpokertour starts on or about July 14, 2006.

I had heard that 'after the summer season of redhot, we'll have a protege II season.'

One can deduce that Protege II would either be taking place in the last half of October or (more likely) the last half of January, 2007.

That's my opinion/guess, unofficial, of course.

I think you can be certain it won't be any earlier than October.
