It's fine. I usually only chase gut draws on the flop if I think my implied odds are laying be better than 11:1. Here, the pots almost laying you that and your draw has to be the nuts as there are not flush draws.

Honestly I fold preflop or postflop.

9-1 to call pre-flop (making the assumption SB and BB will complete which is likely)...easy call given current pot odds plus implied odds

10-1 to call the flop...easy call

11-1 to call the turn...easy call

you're getting str8 pot odds to the nuts w/ implied odds to boot and letting tons of people with hands that are getting harder to fold in.

I think raising preflop into 6 limpers here with something marginal like this is not good either. Maybe if it was like 67s, but not kj.

I tend to agree with you here especially about the 67s but I just don't like the smooth calling but I play a pretty TAG game so I personally would probably call preflop and fold the flop although raising the flop is an option as well.

I guess I don't see a clear cut proper play here. We are getting the odds to call the flop and turn but for me I just don't like it.

Looking at it at first, I felt the same way as you. Just thinking about 6 callers in front of me pre and post flop... I don't think raising would do anything. Some one has had to have hit this board. One of those hands, i'd be scared to bet into just because of the volume of players and I'd be happy to draw at a correct price to the nuts.

Yeah I'm guessing that a different turn and we fold so I would agree with ya. I would like to know what the result was although I'm fairly sure he hit his queen on the river.

Actually, I missed, and folded the river, but I thought it was an interesting hand, because it is one of the rare circumstances where I can correctly (and easily) flat call with a gutshot draw in NL hold'em. I was closing the action on every street (except preflop), with direct pot odds to hit my gutshot, drawing to the nuts. add the implied odds to the mix, and the flop and turn calls are automatic, IMO.

given my chipstack, I'd never advocate raising or folding on either the flop, or the turn. preflop is marginal, but this is a loose game. I likely don't have the best hand preflop, and I am not going to make any better hands fold.
