If it takes a clock 4 seconds to strike 5 o clock how long will it take for the clock to strike 10 o clock

I was told it was 8 or 9 secs, dont remember which

but can someone explain the answer

Not sure, but I would guess that it takes 4 seconds for the clock to chime 5 times; therefore it would take 8 seconds for 10 chimes.

ive never heard the riddle, but im sure its 9 seconds.
one second between chimes.

hey usually when you post a riddle you dont post the answer

9 seconds because it chimes once immediatly and then once every second, making the chime time be one second less than the time.
