If you read thread one, this hand did infact occur after my earlier set. The main villian in this hand actually told me he had folded J4 on the other hand (j424 board when i had 22) and I had told him I had 22.
brings me to this hand.
Villian thought he was much better than he was. Got tired to some hands, also bluff raised in certain spots, or raised some draws. no read on utg.
HERO :: $280 :: 7d7s
Villian :: $403
UTG :: $225
UTG raises to 5.5, Hero calls with 77, 4 folds, villain calls on button. blinds fold.
FLOP :: Jc As 7c ($19.5)
UTG checks, hero bet $14, villian calls $14, UTG folds.
TURN :: 3h ($47.5)
Hero checks, villian checks.
RIVER :: Ts
Hero bets $35, villian calls.

obviously not the best river card if he had a hand like KQc, but I'd imagine KQc raises that flop, especially this player, but perhaps not as he may have viewed me as a solidish player...
If I get some replies I'll post my thoughts on the turn...

missed the C/R. If he's on a draw he bets this turn usually, and if he's got an ace, he bets this turn usually too. Looks like he had a jack and you probably would have gotten a fold from a turn bet, but get a call from a river bet.

agree, scott. Jordan, why are you checking the turn here?

Fein weakness and hit a C/R against an aggressive player. I don't mind the line actually. I really think you get a bet from an ace w/ a good kicker here and can C/R and you get a bet from a draw and can C/R. against a hand like A rag and J. You give them a free card to catch up and possibly raise a river. Plus you get a call on the river where as you may get a fold on the turn.

Really hate teh turn check. You're giving him a free card when it looks like he might be drawing and you're keeping teh pot small.
He's gonna call (or raise hopefully) your turn bet if he has a weak Ace or a flush draw which will build the pot setting him up for a bigger call on the river.

If he's drawing, you need the miracle A or 3 of spades to get a favorable call on the river. However if he has a strong ace, I think he's betting if checked to and if he has a weak Ace he will probably bet it too. However, if we bet, he may fold the weak Ace on the turn and will defiantely fold a jack. These hands will call a river bet tho thinking Jordan for a busted draw.
