It's a decent fold. The blinds are so small still. You are either a big dog to a better pair, or a coinflip. Just wait and find a better spot.

I guess I didn't make it all that clear but I'm advocating you to fold.

Thanks hard to lay a PP like that down took me some time in doing so but felt I made the right play PF once i saw thier cards though I wanted to kick myself but feel it was a smart fold.

The first hour or so of tourneys are more about picking your spots, and taking chances when you are a pretty clear favorite. Like I said, in this hand you are either drawing to two outs, or you are a coinflip, most of the time, so it's better to fold and wait for a better spot.

Ignore the result. Your play was fine. Nothing wrong with avoiding the conflip here, though massive overbets preflop usually smell like AK to me.

The real lesson is... it's poor etiquette to announce your hand before all action is concluded.

Looks like I'm alone on this one but its not an easy fold at all..in fact I think its a clear call with a much bigger or somewhat smaller stack, and basically an even EV call with this stack.

The first all in can be anything. The big stack knows that, and has a pretty wide range too. If you put him on 66+, AQ+ then you are on a coin flip with him, and small stack has about 18% chance to win.

So your equity if you call is .41 * +2900 + .09 * +2155 - .5 * -2030 or +367.

If you narrow the big stack to 88+, AK+ you are still .36 *2900 + .07 * 2155 - .57 * -2030 which is +38.

If you put the first all in at any pair or any A (pretty typcial for an UTG desperation all in) and keep big stack at 88+, AK+ this actually a very big +EV call, around +1150.

I'm at work doing qrt end stuff and just eating dinner.
I'll assume it's perfect.

To me, it's an easy fold at this stage of the tournament.

Don't you need to add some analysis, like "if we lose we have 0% chance to cash" and "if we win we have xPrize Equity?"

I didn't really look closely at the hand ranges before just thinking "I can risk all this in much better spots"
I certanily agree that if we had a much bigger stack or little smaller one..it's a call.

I'm not one to ask... I like to push A7 on a 887 board 3 way, even chips..top 2 pay.. and villan has 77.

Its the third level of what I assume from the chip counts is a MTT, so prize equity and chip equity are about the same.
