OMG. Zito can't deliver and the Yanks open it up. Crosby injures himself. AGAIN. A's can't get it started against the Big Unit. A-Rod cranks a grand slam. We gotta wait for the All-Star break to get it going like always or what?! At least Frank Thomas lives up to his Juggernaut status...

Holy sh*t. I'm a Royals fan...and not even I am that pessimistic after one game. Get over it.
Then again...my Royals looked better than your A's, so......does that mean we are better??? lol.........
Edit: Oh, yeah, and Zito definitely sucks and is washed up. You should trade him to Kansas City for Aaron Guiel.

Hudson wasn't exactly stellar yesterday either.

Yeah....damn Bobby Cox though..just HADDDDDDD to take Hudson out before 5 innings so he couldn't get the win. (He's on my fantasy team). Of course..Hudson was sucking pretty hard..he probably wouldv'e given the lead away at that rate...lol.
Oh...and that Zito for Guiel offer is still out there.....hell, I'll even throw in Leo Nunez.....lol.

Haha....he was on my team too. I had him sitting on my bench until right before the game when I felt impulsive. Dammit.
And I was feeling good as he took the 8-1 lead into the fifth.

Yeah...that's pretty much how my fantasy day went for both my teams.....only offensive guy I had that had a real good game was Hank Blalock. And WHEREEEEEEEEEE did I have him....oh yeah, that's right, I benched him in favor of Morgan Ensberg. Doh!

Well, things turned around fast, taking 2 of 3 from the MFYs.

Go A's!
They were helped out by a Jeter error on a potential doubleplay ball - I actually think that the Yankees would be better off with A-Rod playing short and Jeter moving to 3rd. From what I've read, A-rod is the better defensive shortstop of the two.
Cano is starting to look like the second coming of Soriano at 2nd and Giambi at 1st is no great shakes from a D standpoint.
Yankees are going to have some problems with their infield defense.

ARod is in every way superior defensively to Jeter. If there weren't egos involved, it would behoove the Yankees to have ARod play short and shuffle Jeter to second.
I missed it earlier Koop, but I have Ensberg also. ****** has three errors already, which is wonderful because my league keeps tabs on defense too.

A's pitching is looking solid - Blanton outpitches King Felix and Zito rebounds nicely from his opening day shelling. The relievers have been outstanding.
Adding Bradley and Thomas is already paying dividends and with Crosby back, their starting lineup is intact.
I'm a little worried about Dan Johnson but it's early still and I actually like the decisions that Macha is making in terms of pitch counts and making sure that the regulars get enough days off.
