Lol.."the Royals bashing will get worse??" LOL..what does that mean? What, are people gonna come and vandalize my car and spraypaint anti-Royal messages in my apartment?? Am I gonna get jumped by those same Chi-Sox fans who attacked our coaches??? Am I gonna be verbally abused in airports?!?!? LMAO....what, are people going to violently post on this thread that I should be killed for liking the Royals?!?! Will my right to vote for the All-Star players be denied!??! LMAO..what the f*ck are you talking about!?? LMAO..this is an internet forum....I don't think you and digitalmonkey saying "Royals suck" over and over is going to affect me very much...but keep dreaming. One day maybe you will be that influential...hahaha..oh man. Pure hilariousness.

It sure makes you type a lot. I was just saying, this thread will probablly become a constant bashing of the Royals as the season goes on. You think way to into these things. By the way, if you go back to what I posted I wasn't really attacking the Royals. I felt that what you said was just ridiculous and I felt like I had to comment on it.

One paragraph is typing a lot??? Boy...I guess that says a lot about you if you think typing for 45 seconds is "a lot." Also, I'll say it again for you...you and digitalmonkey are the only ones who are bashing the Royals on here..the rest of us are talking about baseball....so I don't know what makes you think "the Royals bashing is going to get worse." What, you think that new people are gonna joing FCP to come post here? What, you think that a lot of people are JUST NOW going to realize that the Royals suck and will start bashing them? Wow...what are you talking about??

Also, the "rediculous" thing that you were "commenting" on was when I said scoring 4 runs was better than scoring 0 runs....and you chose to argue AGAINST this fact....so...yeah....that was pretty retarded of you...you do realize that YOU were the one being made fun of by lots of other posters for that..right???? Just so you have it clear...four runs is more than zero runs..and the more runs you score the better.......hopefully now you've learned that lesson..you can move on to multiplication next week.

06/06/06--Rangers 6, Royals 2

Winning Pitcher: Millwood (7-3, 4.65)
Losing Pitcher: Elarton (1-7, 5.09)

Box Score: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/boxscor...texmlb_kcamlb_1

Game Recap: Pitching wasn't very good, but the game was lost by us in two key spots. First time was with the bases loaded in the 2nd, two outs, and Grudz lined out very hard to right field..so a bit unlucky there. Second time was with the bases loaded with one out (after a pinch-hit single from Esteban German..go figure...) and pinch-hitter Reggie Sanders grounds into a double play....so missing out on those two huge opportunities cost us the game...as we actually hit the ball well off of Millwood, but ran into some tough luck and Sanders disappointed again in a big spot. Sanders has easily been the most disappointing player this year...but he'll likely be traded before too long. On the positive side, Teahen had a nice game, going 2 for 4 with a home run.

That's a helluva a point your making, but in the end it don't matter without a W. 8-4 isn't even close to a W. I was just saying that you were giving your Royals a little too much credit for something that is expected of every team. Maybe I read to much into your post, but I guess that's because I don't get the point in creating a post saying that 4>0. However, before you keep insulting me, saying that I just come on here to insult the Royals you should read a little more carefully into what I'm saying. I think that this thread is going to become a Royals suck thread and posts have been made before to remark how much they suck. What else is there really to talk about? I really don't know how to put this without being a little harsh, but the Royals are really bad. There's really nothing much to this franchise, nor does it have very much life. We'll see in a few months whether or not my predicition is right, but I think eventually it is going to be you, a few other people, and then someone popping by reminding the thread about how bad the Royals are.

Maybe YOU should start reading what I read have been saying.

A. ALL I said was that I'm glad our offense scored four runs instead of scoring zero. I wasn't giving them "credit" for anything...I was just saying instead of doing REAL sh*tty, they were just KINDA sh*tty. I said four runs scored was better than zero runs scored...that is IT. That's it. Yet you decided to jump all over me for it...which is pretty retarded.

B. Uh...yeah, the Royals are really bad right now...duh....is anyone saying otherwise??

C. You and digitalmonkey are the only ones "bashing" the Royals...so I don't know who else you think is going to join you guys in turning this thread into a Royals-bashing thread...because it's not going to happen. I discuss a LOT more than just our current season...it's about the entire organization. Oh, and by the way, we just got a new GM, will have a new manager, and have a lot of offensive talent on the way...so I don't know what makes you say this franchise has "no life." What, you think we'll be the worst team in baseball for the next 30 years??? Obviously you don't know much about our organization if you think we are "lifeless," we have a lot more talent than you think...and our organization is getting better. Yeah, our CURRENT KC team sucks...but hello, if you actually followed Royals baseball you'd realize that's because we aren't rushing our talent and instead are playing a bunch of veterans for now (some are good choices, some are bad,) but we are going to trade a lot of them away soon and develop young players...the organization is clearly getting much better....from top to bottom....that isn't reflected in our current MLB record....

Look at Florida. Their team record sucks, you think their organization sucks?? How many WS titles do they have since 1997 with a low payroll???

Damn, you Yankee fans are extremely ignorant.

Edit: Also, just because YOU don't care about the Royals doesn't mean no one does. This thread is for me....I could really care less what anyone else wants to contribute to this thread....I know my baseball pretty well, I'm a fan of the Royals, so I discuss whatever there is to discuss about the Royals. If a couple of rejects want to come and bash the Royals, who cares? It's easy to bash the team with the worst record in the league, you think that hurts me or something?? Duh..I'm a Royals fan surrounded by Cardinal and Cubs fans, you think I can't handle people telling me "Royals suck." Lol....you must be a sensitive little wimp if you think some people saying "Royals suck" is going to bother me.

MLB posts all the scores on the same page. The lopsided results, of which the Royals are usually on the losing end, jump out at me. I don't like ice dancing, they're not gay enough. I prefer hockey.

Ooohh!! BURN! Take that, Royals fans! I just shattered your world! Obviously, since your team isn't very good, you should root for a different team, because that's what real men do. When things get bad, they totally give up!

Digitalmonkey = OWNED!!!!!

Royals give up the lead in the 9th, ruining a brilliant 8 inning performance from rookie Bobby Keppel. Burgos has fallen off the face of the planet..he needs to go to Omaha to get his confidence back..he was dominant and then inexplicably lost something....wow.

i think i'm seriously laying quite a bit of money on texas tomorrow...i can't see the royals winning after a devastating 9th inning loss. if i would have made it to the book on time, i was actually gonig to put some $ on them today, something near +200 and keppel looks solid. thank god for work.

You forgot the "Royals suck" on your post...according to 'greatwhite' and 'digitalmonkey' this is going to be an entire Royals-bashing thread...so...

As to your question though, Gordon will probably be in KC in August...BUT with a new GM coming in and significant changes to be made...that COULD change...but probably not by much. Gordon is faring better in AA than Zimmerman of Washington did his first year out and he was called up late in the year and started hitting immediately and has played well this year as well..so I think Gordon should forge a similar path....he MIGHT make a quick stop at Omaha (since he played at Nebraska), but probably not for too long..he and a bunch of other prospects will likely see a decent amount of time in KC...especially when our veterans are traded (Grudz, Sanders, Redman?, Stairs (maybe), Mintkiewicz, and Graffanino hopefully).....so that's something to look forward to.

P.S. Grienke and MacDougal are both close to returning...so that is good as well. Grienke's had two pretty good rehab starts in Double-A.

Probably a good bet.

As for Keppel, yeah, he was a pretty good prospect who had a lot of injuries a while back, but is still pretty young and has looked good so far....but that's the case with a lot of rookie pitchers..so we'll see whether he actually develops into anything or not. Throws a lot of strikes though, so that's a good sign.

No chance. We're getting healthier and healthier and we aren't a worse team than last year....so we'll go on a run (which may be happening now) where we'll play .500 or close ball for 30-40 games to put 120 losses out of the question...and then we'll resume sucking. It happened last year when we first hired Bell and it is probably happening now that Moore has officially taken over as GM...plus this year we have the benefit of gettting a lot of regulars back and getting a lot of good prospects up later on in the year.....so we're probably a better team than last year..but we'll see if the record is better in the end.

Well....he's obviously got pretty good stuff, so I think it's a good pick IF Glass is willing to open his wallet to sign him..and that is what he said he is going to do..so I like it..but really, projecting pitchers from the draft is so tough that I have a hard time saying whether picks are "good" or "bad" or whatever...but I think it's a good pick, unless Glass gets cheap and doesn't pay to sign him, then it would be an atrocious pick, obviously. Both sides say they are going to try and sign quick so Hochevar can report to AA (probably), so that's a good sign. We'll see what happens.

When asked how the team is feeling following last night's win over the Angels, Royals designated hitter Matt Stairs responded:

"We're a hot team right now, we've won one in a row."

I can't believe Royals cast-off Snyder is going to be starting for you guys....he has 100% sucked every opportunity he has gotten in KC.....but changes of scenery have a funny effect on pitchers...so we'll see. He may be okay for you guys, he's been good in Triple-A, but he had one start here a couple weeks ago and got rocked...so I don't know. I'm glad we're rid of him though, he won't ever be that good.

Royals on the verge of taking 2 of 3 from Houston on the road, thanks to Dougie MientOBPkiewiczswitzerschenznopowergoodloveitz's three-run shot. Royals quietly playing a bit better lately and should be getting healthier soon. The addition of pitchers Duckworth, Wellmeyer, and Keppel have been good for us so far, but not enough time to tell whether they will stick with us for the long haul or not. Either way, Moore's strategy of just collecting as many pitchers as possible is a welcome change.

Yeah, sounds like a one and done to me. Unless he's spectacular, he'll do a spot start and then he's off to the minors.

For Boston's sake, I would hope so...he's been a pretty good pitcher in Triple-A this year and has been in the past, but he just can't ever seem to translate that to the Majors for whatever reason. I hope he does well, but realistically, I don't know.

The Royals AAA is just 60 miles away from me in omaha...i should get up there for a game....

Snyder has been okay through 5 innings for Boston...it would be SOOO our luck for Snyder, who has sucked hardcore over and over and over in a KC uniform, to all of a sudden turn into a decent pitcher the minute he gets traded....so, sorry Boston fans, but I hope he sucks.

I'm happy he kept us in the game. I wouldn't worry about him turning good. He didn't look all that spectacular and it probably won't even matter since he'll be going to the minors - possibly never to return.

Wow, Kyle Snyder? insane....

I dont know about you Koop, but I want to see Dead to You #2 help the Reds with the Central or Wild Card.

Again....Royals luck would indicate that DEAD TO ME (SP) goes 9-1 the rest of the year with a 2.18 ERA and leads the Reds to the NLCS.......I would be so pissed.

Yeah, I'm not really too worried abou it. He used to be a decent prospect but he just never took his Triple-A success and turned it into MLB success..and he ain't getting any better.
